I was hoping to come up with a list of most valuable figures that came in sets. Obviously the exclusives are going to be valuable and hard to come by. The others might not be as hard to find.

If you are only going by figures you can get in sets (definitely, ie, no Mr. Gold), then the list would be pretty dominated by Star Wars and look much like this

Luke Skywalker 10123

then you get into the things like 

Light up Darth Vader

If you mix in things like the collectible minifigs, then you will have Series 1 Zombie and Nurse, Series 2 Spartan.

There are some old castle figures which i have seen get listed at $20-$25, I think there was a green ninja from ninjago which got pretty expensive.

 

I know I am missing 5 figures from 10210 Imperial Flagship, they are only $8, but no one on bricklink has more than 1 of them.

I remember when Jango Fett was really sought after. That's the reason I sold my used Jango Slave 1 for $300 after buying it for $60 new and playing with it for 3 years.

Good buy! It`s a great figure, definitely one for the collection. 

If it helps I'm buying an open chrome trooper for 17 right now.

The new Tumbler set minifigs are proving pretty valuable so far.  Batman is $45+ and Joker is $50+

 

 

 

I'm also thinking the Boba Fett from the new Slave I is going to debut at a hefty price as well.

Other than the gold C3P0, I would think that the SDCC minifigs are the most valuable. The Collector and Batman of Zur-en-Arrh of this year still go for around $200 on eBay.

One of my lucky finds at a rundown TRU a few years ago, I was able to get about 12. Still in the bags somewhere!
