This is probably the only set I'll get from the new Hobbit wave. Unlike with LOTR sets, I really don't feel compelled to own every single Hobbit set that comes out.

This....

I might go even further than your statement.... the only thing in this Hobbit wave I really want to own is Radagast figure... (and maybe brown warg + cool statue in Dol Guldur battle courtyard)

I bought myself two of these just now at Amazon Italy for RRP. In Europe they seem to be doing pretty well on the secondary market, so seemed like a safe bet. It is one of the largest sets of the hobbit with not so many people already owning it.

I too just bought this set.  Found a new copy on eBay for $56 shipped.  It's one of those sets that I've eyeballed but never found it cheap enough when it was still available.  I am craving a "castle-y" set to build but Lego doesn't currently offer me any options.  And no, Nexo-Knights is not what I'm interested in (though The Fortrex does look kinda cool).

LotR is what really brought me out of my "Dark Ages" interestingly enough.
