Minifigures - The Complete List

Below you will find a compiled listing for every Series of Minifigures under the year they were released. Each series title links to WhiteFang of Eurobricks very thoroughly detailed reviews while the character names with their respective box ratio beside them go to a Bricker page. You can also find your way to each series' thread poll by clicking on the nearby Poll link (if available).

Series 1-8 used a standard size box capable of containing 60 minifigures. For Series 9, Lego started using a smaller box holding half that amount causing the ratio to be drastically altered and more concrete than prior ratios. However, they seem to have gone back to using the older size 60s with a "3-4-5" formula over the "2-4-6" one.

Since 2011, it has become standard practice for Lego to release three new series' a year totaling up to 48 minifigures. Their release dates are as follows:

1st Series - January

2nd Series - May

3rd Series - September

Each series is typically discontinued roughly 3-4 months after hitting the market making their availability very brief.

To coincide with the Minifigures Online MMO, each character from Series 12 onwards has a special code to unlock it in the game printed on the included pamphlet. Unfortunately the digits printed and chance to unlock the character are both completely random making any process to catalogue such information rather difficult if not impossible.

For Series 11, I added links to the thread poll, WhiteFang's review, and Bricker pages (which do not have images at this time), and each characters box ratio.

I went and added The Lego Movie series to the main topic list with a link to its respective poll thread and tweaked all the links. (Part of the HTML was incorrect.) I rearranged a few things to make the list more 'friendly'.

I added in a link to the long awaited review by WhiteFang of Eurobricks for The Lego Movie Series and rearranged the assortment based on the Series leaflet.

Thank you for putting this list together! It's my go to guide when I am purchasing older series minifigures on ebay.

I was searching for the box ratio for the Lego Movie Series online but was not able to, would anyone has this information yet?

You're welcome. Always glad to help. :)

Oops. You just reminded me I forgot to add that info to the main post. You can now see the "fig-per-box" ratio for The Lego Movie or just read this. ;)

This is very cool. Well done! I just caught the fact that there are now two very different Shakespeare figs. I thought that was interesting. I wish they would only do two sets a year. I can't keep up with three.

Awesome list, thanks for putting this together.

Thank you both. I agree it is tricky (and a bit costly) trying to keep up with a total of 48 different characters in a single year especially when a few make good extras. Course it wouldn't be much of a problem if I weren't such a completionist. :pardon: Anyway, I thought it was neat seeing we have two Shakespeares essentially but not sure which I like better. Regardless, they both work well for reinassance and medieval settings in MOCs I think.

Thank you for updating the ratio! This really helps.

I updated the main list with The Simpsons series including box ratio and links as usual. I also had to fix The Lego Movie links seeing how Bricker went and 'tweaked' them yet again. :mda: Anyway, this should help everyone wanting to know how many are in a standard box of 60.

I honestly did not think I could make the main list look even better than before yet there I go tweaking stuff again. ;) Aside from that, I added the Series 12 characters to the list and found a nice review for Olympic Team GB. It didn't have the box ratio though and I'm not sure where to find it for that offbeat series.

I updated the list with a link to the thread poll for The Simpsons series and the review, thread poll, proper names, and box ratio for Series 12.

I added links and some online unlock codes (7 of 16) for Series 12 plus the currently known list of Series 13. If anyone has definite unlock codes of any characters missing them for the Minifigures Online game, just let me know and I shall add them to the list here for all to see.

I updated the main list with a link to Whitefang's review on Series 13 and each of that series' character box ratio. I also restructured the order for said minifigures to match the pamphlet.

I finally updated the main list of Series 13 with proper links, fixed Series 1 of The Simpsons links, added basic naming system for Series 2 of The Simpsons (links are placeholders and don't work now), and although unknown I tried adding in Series 14 based off the image shown a couple months ago (links are also placeholders for now). This should get the whole thing up-to-date until proper names for The Simpsons Series 2 are known and Series 14 is officially revealed.

I updated The Simpsons Series 2 list with proper links for each character and a direct link to White Fang of Eurobricks review. I shall add a little poll to the main thread for them shortly. The names on a couple ("Homer Simpson in Sunday best" for example) may not be officially correct therefore it might get changed at such time (if it does change that is).
