I went last year and had a blast! - Unfortunately I moved out of the area and cannot go! Should be a good time though!

Informal meet up at the Brickfair anyone?

  • 1 month later...

Now this is a cool build to put on top of your modular Town Hall.

totally awesome.  thanks for sharing.  my son will love this (as will i)

Argh have to work

I will be dragging my son and daughter to this.  (They'll love it)

Immediate question is "does it include light brick?"  That would be icing on the cake.

Thanks for the heads up.  I taking all three kids there at day.

Awesome. We will be there.

WANT! Anyone loan me a kid so I can go get one?

Is this just for kids?

Andddddd when I got there the Bat Signals will probably be all gone.

I'm thinking about taking my 4 yo to one. Is he too young? He loves LEGO and builds at a 2nd grade level, LOL.

I took my then 4 year old (nearly 5 though) to Philly Brickfest and he loved it.  Expect ample foot traffic, some pushing, etc... People are very polite though.  Your son will get tired...

I hear that! He's pretty tough but we won't stay much past lunchtime.

I think he'd dig it.

Is there an official TLG presence at those?

Brickworld Indy was packed. I took my 7 yr old and 3 yr old. Handling them plus a stroller was too much on my own. Stroller made it difficult to navigate because there were so many people.

It was great to see the love of lego in full force but that made it difficult to enjoy the exhibits or browse the vendors.

That was my experience in Indy. A larger venue would have certainly helped. I'd didn't see anything official from Lego at the event. I think it's an independent event.

We're definitely hoofing it. I figured it will be busy, thankfully he's pretty good with crowds.

brickfest will be in WPB Dec 5-7th

15 mins after opening and already a long line in the rain.

Picture is from the back if the line wrapping around the corner of the Expo Center's front.
