In the email from BN, it said "Ticket giveaways in selected stores". I looked at the description of the different stores near me. some said "surprises for every one who attended". one specifically said mini-posters. some said activities sheets.

  • DoNotInsert is right Sad, you're not factoring in the size of their corporation and the clear lack of communication and consistency down the chain.  Some stores were honoring the 15% while others were

We were just in a couple. They have a sign up that mentions 3 events. I should have taken a pic. The interesting one was the mention of a building event of some sort on 3/1.

Unrelated, we have watched the trailers probably 100 times, and I'd like to thank Batman for the line "we're here to see.....your butt." Big hit with the 5 year old demo.

If you plan on going call sooner than later.  I just tried to sign my 2 girls up and the first two I called were booked already.

I went, and it was a bust (to me).  My daughter wanted to get out of there quickly.

At my local store, it consisted of a story time (B&****** employee reading one of the books).  Then they handed out a packet with some games (hidden message, word find).  After that my daughter asked to leave.  They had a table set up with a couple of the sets, and a few of the books on it.  I think they might have given out posters, but my daughter wouldn't have cared if they did.

Not terribly exciting. The best thing that came out of our experience was getting to take home a crapload of bulk white Legos. They had a bunch of brand new pieces from Studio sets that they just let us have. Otherwise....yawn......

  • Prizes and Surprises: As part of the February 8 in-store event, attendees can enter a raffle to win one of two exciting prizes. One lucky winner at each Toys

That's probably 1st prize and they have it listed in reverse.

reason 432 why they may not be around for much longer

From brickingbad.com, TRU is hosting The LEGO Movie Event on Saturday, Feb. 8, 12-2 PM.

I guess it's a consolation for those of us who didn't get the TRU coupon in the mail for the free movie ticket with purchase.

You don't need a coupon to get the free movie ticket. You need a coupon to get the polybag for free.

Went to the build today at TRU, pieces were not bagged, rather pick a brick out of bins; and, was a pretty fun build, two options either Emmit's Car or a spaceship. Raffle prizes were a $10 TRU gift card, a lord business evil lair set and the pre-built uni-kitty from lego, they said the value was $500. Not a sniff in the raffle but my girls had fun.

Cool, I might visit my store, I love collecting pins! Also that chewie looks like snuffulupagus (spelling?) from sesame street!

I collect just about anything!

Should be a good reason to wake up early and visit that store plus the LEGO store, of course. :)
