August 1, 201411 yr I'll be going on Saturday as well. I'm planning to go to a Lego store tonight in fear that that amount of people traveling to the show will eat into the exo suit availability
August 1, 201411 yr I went last year and had a blast! - Unfortunately I moved out of the area and cannot go! Should be a good time though!
September 5, 201411 yr Immediate question is "does it include light brick?" That would be icing on the cake.
September 10, 201411 yr I'm thinking about taking my 4 yo to one. Is he too young? He loves LEGO and builds at a 2nd grade level, LOL.
September 10, 201411 yr I'm thinking about taking my 4 yo to one. Is he too young? He loves LEGO and builds at a 2nd grade level, LOL. I took my then 4 year old (nearly 5 though) to Philly Brickfest and he loved it. Expect ample foot traffic, some pushing, etc... People are very polite though. Your son will get tired...
September 10, 201411 yr I hear that! He's pretty tough but we won't stay much past lunchtime. I think he'd dig it. Is there an official TLG presence at those?
September 10, 201411 yr Brickworld Indy was packed. I took my 7 yr old and 3 yr old. Handling them plus a stroller was too much on my own. Stroller made it difficult to navigate because there were so many people. It was great to see the love of lego in full force but that made it difficult to enjoy the exhibits or browse the vendors. That was my experience in Indy. A larger venue would have certainly helped. I'd didn't see anything official from Lego at the event. I think it's an independent event.
September 10, 201411 yr We're definitely hoofing it. I figured it will be busy, thankfully he's pretty good with crowds.
September 13, 201411 yr http://brickfestlive.com/ i'm taking my son today. actually leaving in 10 mins, I'll provide updates and pics here.
