Could anybody who has purchased through B&N please give a rough idea of what shipping costs are like to Aus? Much appreciated

It sounds like B and N provide very cheap shipping in the case of the tumbler, not sure about the other sets. I am keen as well to learn since I have not order from them before. Do we need to register as a member and payment is by card?

Buying through b&n is no different to buying through any Australian retailer in terms of having a login, entering card details etc etc.

Funnily enough I think they charge the same in shipping for an exclusive as they do for a microfighter set. It's only a matter of time before they fix it, or stop shipping internationally altogether.

With the exchange rate as it is there's not much use ordering from them unless they have a sale on (which is rare, a couple times a year) or if there's a set that is unavailable in Australia.

Thanks Jules_K. I almost forgot the exchange rate thingy. You may be right, they will fix the shipping sooner or later. hopefully on May the 4th they will have some good deal compared to here.

They have been shipping cheap from B and N  for around 4 years or so. It used to be about $12 an item for at least 4 years. The exchange rate tends to make it cheaper to buy in Australia though.

BN have has that shipping price setup for many years now.
As stated though, with our exchange rate sucking more and more makes purchasing dubious at best.

Tiger and two Admirals this week

5 winter soldiers and counting. One left Tumbler slightly scarred. Can't say I'm over the moon about it...

My local Myer has been restocked - DOs, Minis, one PC in old box, and all the Force Awakens sets apart from the Millennium Falcon.

Looks like the TFA big sets drought/shortage is over. On Friday, I saw a MF at Kmart. It was obviously a return and was 245. I could've bought it to flip but I decided not to be bothered.

Slow period of year for me so I'm not really buying atm, but one thing I did manage to grab at Myer were some cancelled lay-bys. Amazingly, they were 3 REs!  I'm guessing that the old box PC was also part of that.

What's the RE?

I've noticed Fleabay has slowed down a bit!

Gents, in the last week there has been a few posts about topics not allowed on the forums.... I know nobody is advocating tax evasion via cash sales, but some of the posts could be construed as such. :)

Apologies for this, please delete the posts as necessary. Probably not the smartest thing to do on a public forum either. :notme:

The thing about cash sales isn`t that you`re not going to report the income, but a cash sale to me means you`ve avoided fees and shipping hassles! I sell a number of items locally and it`s so much easier not having to find and pack a box and wait for it to be delivered. Local sales are always cash only! :)

Let`s just leave it at that!

Not sure when it happened but these have reappeared online

BigW has some Lego friends sets at a heavy discount for those into them or the parts.

41097 Heartlake Hot Air Balloon $28 (normally $44.99)

41093 Heartlake Hair Salon going for $25 (normally $44.99)

also some of the new $15.99 city sets are going for $10

Yes. Big W have all the starter sets at $10 instead of $15. i scan each one of the starter set and all came up as $10. Demo, swamp police, fire, prison, space, deep sea explorer.
