I have found the FB pages to be a decent way to sell. The biggest one that I have joined (I'm guessing that you guys are in it as well) is quite active and if you have a decent item it will sell quickly. People seem quite happy to cover Paypal fees or pay friends/family as well which makes it more appealing than ebay.

Gumtree success might depend on where you live as most users are looking for local pick up.

The Facebook pages can be quite humorous. It isn't hard to pick out the movers and shakers.

Just joined the Fb page, looks like this could be a better alternative to gumtree for selling, things don't seem to last long if they are reasonably priced. Also both UCS Tumbler and Tie Fighter will be available at the upcoming Target sale... reseller scum unite! :-)

Which facebook groups are good to join for selling?  Do you think that it is too soon to be buying the Tumbler and Tie Fighter for reselling? Are you thinking that you could quick flip these?

Won't be QF these now that they are at Target, be good for a layby and add to your collection. Tumbler would be the better option as this will probably go before the TF.

It's good also to give an indication of what's selling. I've sold a couple polys and all went good.

Lambrae it depends if you want to slowly acquire a set at discount over time, or if you want to do a mad dash when a set is about to retire and pay RRP for it. I'm impatient so for me the money is better spent loading up from lego.com in October when it's double VIP and there are some strong signs on what sets are retiring. I bought up on 5 sets late last year; GE, TH, HH, R2 and VW Camper. 4 out of the 5 retired and are producing excellent returns, so that strategy seemed to have worked for me at least.

I've been selling like crazy on the Facebook page, unloaded all my new Birthday sets within 2 hours, now need to order more...

Or you could be like me, and just buy, buy crazy. I have an army of Creator Cats and Monkeys.

So are you selling at prices similar to what you would charge on ebay? Or a bit cheaper ???

What's been selling? It can be very hit and miss. A lot of people have spent a fortune on the sales already

Mainly be off selling parted out minifigs. Sold 6 Birthday sets today and a couple of Piggy banks, nothing major but building rapport.

Was that you with the piggy banks up this morning?
Prices seem a bit up and down lately.

Happens all the time. There are people who complain and want $1 off a minifig.
Would hate to see some of them at lawn sales or St Vinnies.

Looks like Australia has been screwed again, just received an email telling me of all these deals (30%) of selected sets. Only it's only applicable to Europe, not in the Australian store. :/

I noticed that too. :-( We get 30% off the exo suit here so at least that's something, although sales of this set seem to be very sluggish in Australia.

A lot of people thought that about the Fire Brigade :P

So how many exo suits are you in for then? ;-)

Ordered 10 of course.
I already have 9 from previous purchases. Put them away and wait for a rainy day.
