60064 Artic Supply Plane. Was this exclusively available only in kmart or big w? or was it target? i seem to only see it at one of the above store only but now got no luck in finding it? Guess the 'plane' has flown off with this one.

Toys R Us had it

I placed two in my cart when they had the Buy 1 Get 1 50% off City sale a few weeks ago and hesitated. Next day the product was no longer on the website.

Big W does has exclusive rights to the large ice breaker set. I would give their head office a call tomorrow to find out whether they stock the 60064. If they do, they will be able to indicate which store. Hopefully it will be in your location. I do remember seeing this plane in Big W where I live, it was on sale a few weeks back if it is the one I am thinking of. Kmart has some of the range, it might even pay to call them. I have not seen this range in target yet where I live.

From what i've seen 60064 was a TRU exclusive, and quite possibly a short run at that. I'm heading to my local TRU tomorrow to hopefully pick up one or two that I seen there about a week and half ago, I not overly worried if I have to pay RRP for them.

Thanks for all the info. I missed out checking on Toys r us. Might have a look tml. Knew that the ice breaker ship is a Big W exclusive, saw a few of them on the shelves of a few stores.

Grab the ship, where I am they are already gone. I think its cool they actually float.

oh the ship is flying off the shelves? thought it might be too early to buy in yet, since it only came out early last year? well no harm in getting one for keeps, will watch out for any discount to grab it. Cheers.

Flying off the shelf may be a slight exaggeration, I've been to 4 or 5 Big W's over the last couple of weeks and the Ice Breaker, Ninjango and Chima were the only sets at all the shops pending their full restock. I'm going to grab one now, just incase they do "poof" like the cargo plane, but I think we may be safe until the mid year toy sales.

On a side note, I was able to pick up 3 x 21113 Caves at Myer BOGO50% sale for $10 ea (after promotional gift cards, etc), even at RRP nice little profit margin :)

Anyone else regretting loading up on RI's? I'm stuck with 10 of these now and they're still available from lego sah.

On the positive side of things they seem to be moving quite well on ebay, it just might be a long time until we start getting some worthwhile returns.

Not regretting as a vast majority of the buyers don't know about the LEGO Shop at Home existence. I'll probably flip 5 or 6 when they arrive for a bit of cash flow (QF is like a drug to me lol).

I've also established a local customer base who each want a set each, I've told them they can have a set for $40ea, not huge profits but fee free and they'll pick up. So I end up getting $10 plus x VIP points for a click of a button.

Also did the same with the Detective Office, sold to one of my customers for $230 = $30 profit + F.C ($15) + Points.

Hi, not not flying off the shelves so to speak but there were ten boxes and they have gone. Other stuff in the same system is still there. Perhaps there are a few B.P's my way just like myself.

Small profits but overall big gain. Like your thinking. Local customer base is also good to cut out the 10% plus postage that ebay takes.

How have you done this! Through Gumtree? I've had reasonable success on Gumtree but my partner doesn't like random people rocking up to our house. :)

People rocking up to your house not a good idea. I would make delivery point in close public place, even local post office. Say that you work and can only meet them there. I would suggest strictly in an area that is public, not a quiet reserve. You just never know. We have some interesting characters in Australia and the last thing you need is to let them know that you have a supply of lego.

I find the ebay/paypal fees a little hard to take so use Gumtree quite a bit. I usually meet at the shopping centre across the road or the CBD but will also ship items occasionally if the buyer is OK to do a bank transfer.

Gumtree is full of time wasters and low ballers but if you have an item that is desirable and reasonably priced it's not too hard to make a sale.

O.K have any others tried diff  trading sites in Australia to sell lego stuff.  I am aware of quicksales.com.au, au.ebid.net, flyingsolo.com.au but have never used them. Would they be a good alternative to ebay.

Thanks to Jeff and Lucifersfury, i managed to score 2 Arctic Supply plane from the Toys R Us around my area. At Buy 1 Get 1 50% off, is a good discount off the RRP. Noticed that this set is already EOL so should appreciate nicely from now on......

I haven't tried other sites for the simple fact not knowing the usership (is that a word? Oh well, is now).

I'm happy with eBay as I have had a good turn over through my inventory, I have a spreadsheet that puts me @ 28%ish ROI (after fees, packing, etc). In relation to my private clientele, I acquired them through eBay, offering to drop off sets if they were local opposed to them paying postage and a after a quick chat they come back in droves.

Yes, ebay is well heard of. I will probably stick to that. On another note, is it better to stick to small box sets of lego, e.*** the size of the riddler chase, jedi intercepter for quick flips. I find the large sets cumbersome, however those that I have are really for adult collectors and I would go the extra mile if I can sell it for the right price in the long term. Also, has anyone had problems with paypal which I should watch out for. I am still a newbie at the selling game. I

Woohoo, found some 60064 Arctic supply planes. Snow piling up, you will need this vehicle to remove the minifigures out of danger, especially if the ice breaker is frozen stuck. Tru sale ends 3 of Feb. Buy one get second one half price.

A Sparkling Castle sold for $142.50 ex shipping last night on ebay.

Madness

Nice, I have 3 coming now with the intention of QF. I wish I had of ordered the full 5, but was hesitant as the rest of the princess line isn't performing + post Christmas.

Could of been another small "Minecraft" window.

Went to Kmart last night and some lego movie boxes on clearance. Metalbeard @35. etc.

Has anyone else noticed that Australia Post has been dropping the ball like crazy lately? I've had to chase up 5 outgoing parcels (I track them and chase them before the  buyer chases me) and 4 incoming in the last month as the bounce between Sydney and Perth (I'm in Newcastle). Next time that I speak to them regarding this I thin kI'm going to blow.

Not one single problem over the christmas period, but now...
