Just saw that the Sept LEGO Shop at Home free gift offer is the Kai dragon. A bit underwhelming again, better than last month's offer. Where is that London Bus? Disappeared or just not going to be offered in Australia?

Thought the Advent Calendar was the free-be for october. But then anything can happen when it comes to lego.

Actually,  my toddler loves the police car chase. It's very quaint in my opinion. Not too good for investing though.

OMG Lego had gone bonkers? Are they out of their minds? Aud$800 for this remake? No bloody way! Thought I will nuy one just to go with my one 10188 but too bad....rather get the castle to sit beside it.
This lousy price will be the thing keeping 10188 price high enough probably around 500 -600 mark.

$800 Aussie dollars for the Death Star?

hahahahahaha I dont think so. Think LEGO might get a shock on this one.

While I agree that's an absurd amount for this set, considering the original Australian RRP of $700, it really isn't a huge hike when compared to the increases which other regions have experienced. In this sense we got off better than I thought we would. Still no way I'm paying that, though. Got my 10188 for $400AUD when the dollar was strong- virtually half the price for nearly the exact same set!

Exactly. This will help resellers of 10188 a bit.

If you have this type of coin to blow, get 10195. Really underrated set. Looks amazing when built and on display.

If disney wasn`t getting a % from 10188, as it was released before the lucasfilm deal. Maybe this is a legal way to acknowledge it`s now licenced by disney, but price it high, to the point where no one or very little sell. not sure how lego licence deals work.

Who knows. May sell so poorly it retires really early, making it scarse and the next 10179.

Can everyone imagine if this "new" death star cost $800, then if there is a new remake of the UCS MF 10179...that might cost an arm and a leg...plus a few fingers etc...plus throw the wallet on the table.!

The next 10179???????? I doubt it.  Same goes for AOH.

Either way, it won't affect me as I will never buy one. I even emailed LEGO and said they had gone too far in pricing and wondered who it was aimed at. Got the usual bland response.

Just noticed the Shop at Home site has been relaunched for Oz, too. And free shipping is advertised at a $100 min. spend- I feel like it was $150/200, can anyone confirm?
