At 38% off for me I just wish the new service station and fun in the park sets were out already.

I've put a few sets on hold to pickup tomorrow, with that sort of discount I'd be kicking myself if I didn't get something.

Yep, everything online is on sale too! I'm hoping my orders will process and get the stock off the floor, seeing as the store isn't open yet. Picked up another 3x Slaves and 3x MF's. Too cheap to pass up!

Yeah had to get another Slave I and first Brick Bank.  Too good to pass up.

Are BigW still price matching with an additional 5% off? That would make the MF about 33% off retail plus 8% if you still have Cashrewards left over. Not too shabby.

I agree with Furious_george. Slaves @ 25% off were a good deal. Now at 30% that's pretty unheard of for SW UCS. I've picked up a few. Was looking for some Dr Who sets but looks like they all sold out at 20% off

Read that staff discount gets them for $178 or something? Don't have that myself but good luck to those that do.

I'm gonna go spend my last 1k gift card investment right now.
Any recommendations? I have 3 slaves already, might either get 3 slaves again or another 2 and some Ferraris.

sorry i haven't posted for a while - still haven't got the net setup at the new house.

picked up a slave 1 for $170 from myer today. 30% off + $40 voucher (I lodged a complaint after they cancelled my palace cinema order last week). 

 

Well, I can imagine today has been a day of excess. 

I didn't get much, but the savings to be had forced my hand to get a BB for my personal addiction from Myer.

I also got DJs to price match a Fairground Mixer for 30% off too while I was at it.

Slaves sold out  Along with the Ferrari.

I bet they sold out while i was doing my order. It took like 1 hour for them to process my sale thru there in-store ipad because it couldn't handle more than 3 items at a time or something...And i choose to process the slaves last :(.

Oh and it was 15% off staff discount not 25%. Still a nice price for everything i managed to get. Finally pulled the trigger on 3 MF's to hold for awhile. Didn't really think the price was good for them at any of the previous sales.

I now have $600 left in Myer gift cards from my initial 10k~ investment. Might just use that to buy something for myself, or another thing to sell later on, possibly funkopop figurines.....or i might just spend it on myself

On another note, I've started building some sets, its pretty sweet. Started with a Architecture Lincoln Memorial, now I've built Creator Detective's Office, gonna open up a Brick Bank soon. You need a lot of table space hey. But i have a better understanding of my investment i guess, Lets just hope i don't start opening all my boxes...hehe.
 

I bought a 75060 slave on Myer eBay the day before the 30% started. Luck I did because the 2 I bought early sat morning just got cancelled. Seems online orders were  sourced from the instore shelves, so once they sold out it was all over.

This is the second time Myer has screwed me.

I was just as worried about the order cancellation myself, especially after my other sets got shipping confirmation yesterday. However just a couple of hours ago I got a confirmation of their shipment. I ordered around 8:30am Saturday, so anyone who ordered before then should be okay.

That's pretty harsh @Furious_george. I'm only doing Click and Collect with Myer from now on. Had some damage to boxes right at the start of the Stocktake Sale when I was sick so didn't pursue. 

The website says there is limited stock of the Slave I still so maybe you should ring them. 

Lots of items OoS on the Lego SaH website too, some of them seeming to do the dance. Maybe some retirements are coming.

I ordered for home delivery more than 2 hours before you and mine was cancelled today too.

they seem to treat online orders as a backup in case stock doesn't sell, I thought getting in early would help but there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to who gets orders shipped and who gets theirs cancelled.

i wonder whether interstate orders get shafted to the back of the line.

IMHO, I never buy form click and collect, or ipad from Myer. It just sets you up for a disappointment. Cash or credit in-store is your only solid bet!

In my opinion, however, it's not the 30% sales that make you the money, it's the last-minute purchases of retired sets at retail price that make you the most money.

Don't get me wrong, if you bought a heap of Brick Banks at 30% off, that is a good deal! My only advice is that you have 5-year plan for Lego investing.

Agreed. Last minute works well. Can't get anywhere near as many but I only have 3-4 of each anyway.

I called one store on Friday just before closing and was told they sold out of an item only to find out from a friend they had 4 on display on Saturday.

i don't really care about missing out but being told lies and no priority or stock set aside for online orders is a bit unfair.

they probably have a shipping tool just that maximises the least cost to them for shipping then cancel the remaining orders.
