Been searching around my local Big Wsss for the City Explorer Ship....guess i am too late as i cannot see it on the shelves at all. It cannot even be ordered online too, argh frustrating....anyone got any luck this sales period? I know Myer have them at not the so attractive discount...

Yes 60095 which come in at $99 dollars....cannot find them at a few of the big w that i went to....but like what JeffProbst stated, TRu have them and i also know Myer have them. didn't see them at kmart or Target. Not the point, just that $99 bucks hits my target for a buy.....at least for myself. ????

I grabbed the last 2 and the last town square of the shelf at my local. $400 for all 3 sets, should be ok come Christmas.

I managed to find a Parisian Restaurant at my local TRU, with the 22% off voucher came to $195. This is for the personal collection so I'm happy with that.

Damn! TRU have sweet FA modulars in Brisbane area.  

Today I got a single TFA Tie Fighter for $59 (40% off) from Big W. Some type of glitch promotion or something. I would've gotten more, but was the last one on the shelf.  No Poe's or MF either. They had been raided bear.

I see that they have put a limit of 2 on the Thanksgiving set, was five yesterday.

Trick or Treat was limit 12 in the first couple of days before dropping to 5 but I don't know if it ever dropped to 2

Will Australians want the Thanksgiving set , considering that it is a holiday that not many Australians do ? 

 

I'm sure that there are some people who will want the complete set of Seasonal vignettes

Trick or Treat was initially 20.

I think Thanksgiving will be a niche market as people will want to get the full set. I've order 7 so far.

Is there a 2X VIP points offers soon at Lego.com, or any special offers coming up ? 

 

Will we get the free train or Gingerbread house offers in Aust? I am hanging out for those.

Do you guys collect or build at all, or do you just buy with the intent to sell?

I find that I only have room to build small sets at the moment (Ideas, City, Architecture etc.). Have grand plans to set up a Modular street one day but who knows if that will ever happen. With Scooby/Monsters CMF and the Ghostbusters HQ coming soon, a spooky part of town with the HH seems like a must now as well. 

I'm mainly into the Spooky/Space side of the spectrum and sell to make up for that habit.

We collect Star Wars UCS sets , modulars and Lego ideas, HH , Sea Cow - anything that is good as a display . 

I've got pretty limited space for display, but I've got a stash of each (semi-recent) modular, HH and TB to build and put somewhere one day. I've also got a few little minifigure displays as well.

I'm into anything that fits into my city. Anything else MM, BTTF, etc is bought with a view to see and fund my addiction.

Tower Bridge is quite repetitive to build but it's a brilliant model. Was one of my first builds after I came out of my dark ages along with Ecto-1 and the VW Camper. Due to my lack of room it is sitting in a corner gathering dust right now, surrounded by unopened LEGO sets. 

Have FB through to DO, HH and two HE unopened at the moment which I plan to use as the foundation of a small city when we move into a bigger place (Mrs JP has OK'd a LEGO room). Also have all of the Winter sets (except one) but I'm not sure if I will build these or just them go

I don't think there are many people here that regularly contribute and don't build. I'd say anyone who is not intimate with the product will not be as successful as one who is.

Since coming out of my dark age last September, I try not to spend too much and usually buy smaller or heavily discounted sets for my collection. I like City vehicles, Creator houses, Star Wars and Pirates. I also like the South Korean brand Oxford Blocks, like this 1600 piece Sungnyemun I just built.
