10220 - Volkswagen T1 Camper Van

Featured Replies

It makes sense that Camper is ready for the ol' retirement home now that Mr. Cooper has arrived in town.

It made sense for the Tower Bridge to retire once the Opera House arrived but here we are.

  • saw this while driving down the road last week and had to pull over and take a snap. was half expecting a giant hand to reach down from the sky to put the roof on.

Finally did some unboxing today...anyone else have a weird glitch with the recent promo where you tried to order 1 but ended up with a bunch? I'm guessing TLG has a fix for it...involving a hammer. &#

Crusty,

No doubt this set will raise in terms of price. But I just think the field will be very crowded for awhile. Just depending on the amount of profit you would be satisfy with.

I expect to be holding mine for quite a while after EOL, but I don't mind that. I've only got half a dozen though I'll probably pick up a few more when the time is right.

This set will be in high demand for years, especially in the EU. No doubt about it.

I've got a feeling that for such an iconic set we may have another Death Star on our hands and may never retire. Still got 5 though!

I've seen it too and thought it must be a tablet or mobile thing but I'm on a standard PC? Anyway, sorry for invading the topic.

I was at my Lego store this morning and noticed a fresh batch of these on the shelves. Seal code was 36R4 I believe, so apparently a pretty recent run.

That's very recent. I think that means that batch was produced in mid to late August.

I think many folks expected another run, especially since they had a Sept. 5 delivery date tagged to the listing at S@H. It will be interesting to see if they show up at other retailers, or if they go out of stock on S@H.

This set will NOT retire this year, neither will the Pet Shop.

SSD and GE will though. Please don't ask for my source.

But does your source look....LIKE THIS??

While I do not think there is an ounce of truth in this rumour, if it is to hang around for another one or two years then it allows me time to build a huge inventory of these.

My sources say it was always crazy to think Pet Shop was going either before or at the same time as GE.  As for the Camper Van, they say it's EOL, since the Mini Cooper thinks it's too cool to be seen in the same catalog with a VW.

Wait for me~~ I still have to stock up  :search:

don't worry you have plenty of time. :D depends on how many u wanna stock up but these seem to be around till at the very least october

I just wanted to share this that there is a guy on Amazon who has 360x T1 campers, hahaha. That's just sick.

I'm going to guess there will be many investors with 100+ on this set

I think you are almost right Crusty. Alot of people have it stocked up. That is why I stick to my 4. Only if at deep discount I will buy more of these. But for sure not at RRP.
