About time! Leg Godt is reporting that LEGO will be soon selling some watches suitable for adults, and quite frankly, older kids. They will be available this November. They are quite pricey though... Not sure I'd get one because of that steep price tag. LOL.

Quote from the Leg Godt article:

Lego has had a line of watches for a few years now, but the designs were decidedly targeted at kids. And since the building toy probably has as many adult fans as children who love it, Lego will be releasing a new line of watches this November with designs geared more towards its grown-up fans.

That being said, no one is going to mistake any of the styles in the new line as being a Rolex or a TAG Heuer. Bright colorful plastics still dominate the motif for these new timepieces, which will come in both analog and digital designs.

Officially referred to as the Lego Watch System, the new adult designs will share a common trait with the previous kids' models in that the links that make up the watches' straps can be disassembled and mix and matched between designs. So if the new additions aren't already colorful enough, you can buy a couple of them

According to ablogtowatch.com, the watches are about 40mm and there are pictures of at least 10 different combinations. It will be interesting to see one in person.

Thanks for sharing, Bsusanka! For everyone else, here is the link to their article. LEGO is offering WAY more variations than I originally though! :D Unfortunately, they are still made of plastic, but I'm still hoping that they are made of something more durable than the ones that they currently sell. Those links break off really fast!

Anytime!

If they go on sale I'd buy one.  They look cool.  Thanks for the share.

The skull one is pretty interesting as well.

yeah LOL

You would need to be a very big lego fan to wear some of those watches....

Another update - the LEGO Watch/Clock website is live! I don't know if this is a new site, but it is the official LEGO one.

They have an advertisement up for LEGO Watch Systems, so I'm guessing that all the products will be launched via this site.

No other details, but we should expect the watches sometime soon, as the Brick Fan talked about a November release.

I do

I've just bought mine today via legowatches.com. So hard to find watches with personality these days. You could pay

Unless the watch is automatic and be 7.5k or above, it will not hold its value. It's worse than buying a car. Taking a pass.

So, what's up with LEGO not including full-size minifigs with their watch line nowadays?  Do you see any future value in those little itty bitty minifigs they include now?  The Luke and Darth Vader watches were decent flips if you could find them for $5 - $7.

They are probably getting tired of parents calling them for replacement minifigs after the kids missplace them.

Lol those 2 are $25 at  S @ H.  I could have sworn they were $20 last year

I miss the Commander Cody watch that I scored a bunch of for $5. I would flip the fig for $15 and the watch for $10. Good times. I remember the old Vader was a different print and would bring about $20.
