Did anyone else make rankings for the classic space dudes?  For example:

Black:   Marshall

Blue:     Some commissioned officer

Yellow:  MPs

Red:      1st class private

White:    2nd class private

Then when the fancy guys came out...well you get my drift.

All my redshirts are dead, does that count?

If executed for high treason, yes.

As a kid I always equated them to Star Trek.

Gold (yellow) were Commanders

Blue were science officers

Red were engineers

Classic blacktron were always the military troops

And the factions were there own entities.

I like the Star Trek idea.

Blacktron as military?   I can picture them like shock troops....never heard that idea before, bravo sir!

I like that to

My Blacktron were the bad guys and classic space the good guys.  Never gave any special rankings to them.  Now, when I started to get some M-Tron guys, they were my elite troops since they had cool suits and visors.

Interesting chain of command set up.  Makes me nostalgic for vintage sets.

Indeed.

Me:   Futuron took over as an elitist faction, then Space Police came in and overran the yellow MPs and then turned separatists/mercenaries.   M-tron were unionized labor...

/sigh Oh the stories...
