Pretty big difference in box size.

  • As an avenue to draw more AFOL's into the Lego theme, it's a winner. And that helps all of us; investors and fans of Lego alike.    With the scope of options available from an architectura

good chance the printed plate is fake considering the manual isn't part of the auction. the plate is even very  hard to get it through customer service as a replacement part due to the set being

I just got mine in the mail after getting snagged in customs.

I'm not even going to say how much it ended up costing after shipping...

Just witnessed a marina sands with shelf wear NIB go auction style for 385.00 plus 30.00 shipping. Holy cow!!

that's what happens when lego puts the words "limited edition" on a box and only makes 10k of them

The last two BIN went for $399. I remember last Xmas there was a guy with 3 cases of 10 sets and he was selling them for $160/set shipped, but at that time there were still rumors of a US release. So at that time this would be a good example of buying a post EOL set with room for growth. Also when people say there is a limit to what someone will pay for a box of bricks. There are a lot of AFOLs with money that are completist when it comes to the Arch sets.

I think they want them sealed in the box though with no plan on building them. So this set will be displayed in homes and offices in the box with the "limited Edition" badge

I will see if and how much my Used auction one sells Sunday night it has 8 watchers as of now.

I must admit that one of those watchers is me, and in have no intention of buying, just curious.

I'm not sure anyone knows? I got it for about US$60.

why does the retail price on the bp  page say it retailed for 0.00 that must be a mistake

Not a mistake. The set was never available in the US.

i saw someone set 889 euro on ebay for this set. the price is gone wild! I really want to play this set, but the price stopped me  :cheese:

Ummm they were thrown in the trash at the airport to fit in the lady's handbag bringing it back to the US

Like throwing away good money :(

The Trevi Fountain is another sure fire winner. Great set. The box is as heavy as a brick.

Right?  Right?  That's what I said in the thread with the article about the Price per brick!

The instructions for the set must be the same size as the ones for the 10179, that's the only way I could see someone throwing away instructions to safe space :)

Probably too expensive to bricklink them!
