I can get a set shipped to my door for $80. Only 20% off so its not amazing by any means but i havent really seen great deals on this set.

Buy these at $80 or lower.

A lot of folks got these for 29.98 on clearance at Target.  Granted, that's just silly, but anything 80 and lower seems like a pretty good bang for your buck.

I lucked out on a double coupon deal at yoyo.com and got 2 for $60 each.  I dont expect to find that again anytime soon though.

thats where i was planning to buy, yoyo.com usually has online coupon codes for around 20% off, free shipping, no tax.

 

Prob just buy one for myself at $80 and hold out for better prices for investment.

I personally love the set. I think it's worth the 100.00 if you are just going to buy 1 for yourself. Anything under 100.00 is great, in my opinion, for investing purposes.

All I found was these 14 decorated shields in the set.

I don't know what the listing is going on about with regular shields as there aren't any.

Its definitely wrong - there is one actual minifigure shield maybe?

It is an AWESOME set. I am actually thinking about building more than one and having an all out battle. Its frickin HUGE.

This is a great set, and definitely one to load up on before retirement, but it is still pretty new.  I would recommend holding off on buying these for a while, regardless of the price.  That is gonna be money tied up for a long time.  Ok, if you actually find it for $29.99, then you will obviously want to jump on that.  Otherwise, wait.

Here is something I did not even know. The Dead Soldier Ghosts have glow-in-the-dark heads! Neato.

Too bad their torsos do not have certain details glowing as well.

Interesting that it says discontinued by vendor.  Maybe Lego didn't like all the discounts

yeah, starwars is still the top theme amount children and teens, which is where the majority of sales come from for LEGO.

One of my local Targets has this one for 15% off, but another already has it for 30%.  They'll probably do a clearance markdown again next Thursday (the 9th), or possibly the week after that (the 16th), and that 15 or 30% discount gets bumped to 30 or 50%.  There are several just sitting around in my stores, even at 30% off (which I don't understand, as this set is super awesome);  I feel like it's safe to wait for a 50% on this one.

Am I crazy to think this set is retiring? I believe the set has been out only a year or so and it seems to be well liked set. It just seems to be going the way of the 79010 Goblin King. I just picked up 2 at different Kmarts for 40-50% off. I know some WalMarts have it at $70.00. It's readily available at S&****. It seemed they were giving the Goblin King away, then it retired. The only thing that throw me is, that it has not been out that long.
