I'm not sure I understand how this is out of place.  A box can have as much value to the right buyer.  I would set my bar high and lower it later instead of setting it at a price that might be lower than what I might be able to convince someone else to pay.

I have learned that the guys that have the most outrageous prices do that because they know there is a sucker born every minute,  I can't tell you how many times I have seen "sold" items that were waaaay beyond what I would have paid.  But there are people who do.  Somehow, someway.  Do not ask me how and why.

Problem is how much time do you waste doing this? You price all this stuff really high and then wait for people to bite. Maybe a few do, but most of it just sits and it breeds bad prices. People see listings for this much and decide to sell theirs for that much.
