Should I buy missing minifigs for 4195?

I have 4195 queen anne's revenge used in great condition, manual and box included. I haven't looked through all the bins yet, but it might possibly be missing these minifigs:

Jack Sparrow
Angelica
Chef
Quartermaster
Gunner Zombie

Which is valued at approximately $36 + shipping costs on bricklink.

I want to sell the set, do you think it's worth buying the missing figs to make it a complete set, or just sell it at a discount?

buy the minifigures. this set set still has potential to grow

I don't know, if I was buying this ship used I don't think I would care that much about the minifigs.

it is a really impressive display piece for sure!

Depends on how much you're into the ship for already, I guess.

Different people look for different things, I'd prefer to buy the 4195 without the minifigs as I'd probably display it with the original LEGO pirates pieces as opposed to the licensed POTC ones but it's going to come down to your potential profit margin.

If you are looking at a longer term investment, then I would pick up the minifigures to make it a complete set. If you are looking for a quick flip I would list without, because there are people still trying to pick this up before sealed boxes get too outrageous.

What did you pay for it? I think it would make since to just flip it now. Depends on what you paid for it though.

I bought it in a humongous used lot so I haven't figured out how much I paid for each set. my entire car was packed of built sets. it's a bit of a nightmare to sort through lol. hours and hours of playtime!

Sounds awesome. Nothing curbs your desire to go to the lego store and spend money on sets you'll just want to open like buying a car full of used legos for a good price!

Funny this topic about the 4195 came up. Selling mine right now on eBay.

Pretty sure the value is in the boat. I want the boat...but could care less about the movie or figures from it.

I want a set to be 100% complete when I buy, but yeah the boat by itself is awesome enough.

Why not list it BIN as is and see if it sells? If not, then you can think about adding the figs. You might get a bite for $175 or so. You'd almost certainly be the cheapest option.

Yea that's a good idea. Might try local sale first. Though the more I look at it, the more I want to keep it for display lol
