Well, for starters, Minecraft was a CUUSOO, so I think CUUSOO's are usually produced in smaller quantities than other sets in other themes, which probably increased demand for it. It will definitely be a winner, IMO, because if its popular now, it probably will be one later, especially since it looks to be like the number of Minecraft users is increasing. Not sure when it will EOL though because its obviously extremely popular, but it will be worth a bit after EOL comes around...

Anyone see the new minecraft set?

  • What part of Minecraft sets is a sleeper?  Everyone is well aware of them at this point.

  • Well Angry Birds is a story old as time.  Who isn't familiar with the classic tale of pigs stealing some bird eggs,  then those birds building catapults and explosives to get the eg

how much more value do you think a small set like this can increase?

Well, when it was first released, it was going for over $100. Probably could get to somewhere around there if it doesn't stay in production for too long.

I think it would make sense to have an additional Minecraft set made. It seems like they sell well and Lego has done well to endorse them. In addition to that the proceeds of the sales to Mojang are all being donated to charity. Seems like a win-win for everyone.

Anyone know how the licensing rights work for this and other CUUSO sets? Is it a one off deal or are Lego now able to produce other Minecraft and also Back to the Future sets (obviously paying a % cut of the revenues). Would be good to see more sets down those lines.

I'm halfway done with creating my own minecraft set, similar style to the 21102. Thoughts and opinions? It will feature a desert biome with well, a Steve figure, chicken mob, etc. Good idea to sell it on ebay or maybe submit to cuusoo?

fieldbricks, I don't know anything about cuusoo submissions, but I've seen some custom minecraft do very well on eBay recently. Would love to see some pics of yours when you're ready to share!

Selling a custom MOC on eBay would be the way to go seeing how the original Minecraft idea was already approved on CUUSOO and any future submitted similar project would get rejected right out the gate.

Ebay or Bricklink. You will have the most luck there.

Ok, how can I upload pictures? So far, I've spent about $25 on bricklink getting the pieces, so I'm sketchy on getting even a moderate profits.

Btw, sorry for the late reply.

Here are two images. I removed the top to take a better view. Opinions? I'm planning on buildings a desert well and a desert mountain.

I have seen them in a lot of brick and mortar stores as well. One note - they don't display them with their regular Lego from what I have seen, they are usually in the puzzle/other toys sections.

Hi! I'm having some trouble on deciding which of the new Lego Minecraft sets to get. They both look good, but I can only get one. Which one? (Village and Nether)

Either. And then save up and get the other one. :-D

(I'd expect nether to be more collectible down the line, but that's my gut reaction and not based on any actually facts.)

Anyone else seeing this on their LEGO Shop at Home descriptions?
