I got 3 x Hobbit Barrel escape for $52 (TRU exclusive)

2 x Republic attack gunships for $120 (TRU had listed price @160 not 180 which it should be). 

 

There pricing was weird as some were below retail (before discount) yet some were over, I could not make any sense out of it. One thing I did notice no 1st wave LOTR sets, just the 3 new ones.

Still there are some good deals, one thing TRU likes to do is reduce their regular price on older sets to get rid of them. TRU Australia seems to have much more reasonable prices that what you hear of the US TRU.

Incredibly my store still had some lotr Attack on Weathertop's which had been marked down to $62 plus the 25% discount!! Pretty happy with that

I also picked up a barrel escape and for some reason I got some architecture villa savoys. I have a gut feeling that this set will we worth quite a bit come EOL. ( let's hope)

Sadly there were no batman funhouse escapes.

I also saw my store has an incredible 25 Jabbas palaces. Hoping they are seriously reduced to 100

You did well I was hoping for some LOTR sets, mine had the Mill POC 4183, which I thought was weird. 

I picked up barrel escape. They also had weathertop discounted heavily here and if I didn't have a stack of Jabbas Palace and T-Rex sets to take home I would have scored more. They still had Whitecap Bay and a Dino set here at Tea Tree Plaza

Not yet i'm on a tight budget.....i got a two year old and another one on the way so my lego spending is constrained. i'm planning on getting one large set by the end of this year which is either going to be SSD or the TB. 

I had to go back and get the Dino Ocean Interceptor from TRU. $41 apiece for an exclusive, discontinued theme is leaving money in the table.

I was of two minds whether to pick up the dino set, my store had the ocean inteceptor too

I hit my local TRU over the weekend and, using the comments here, picked up some Weathertop (4) and Ocean Interceptor (2). Both stores I have ready access to had more of each... Debating picking up more (says the guy who doesn't want to become a Lego investor!)

Managed to get one of the last SSD in store and also battle of Hoth plus dynamic duo funhouse!

Time now is 3pm EST, if anyone's still debating about the dino ocean interceptor set, have a look on TRU online now, going for less than half price at $24.99. Haven't checked in store whether they offer the same price, will post again when I do. toysrus.com.au

Checked in store, Dino ocean interceptor also on clearance at $24.99, however none on the shelves.

I see they are also sold out online, too (I bought four). Will be at a local shopping centre tomorrow to check out Myer. May call by Toys R Us, too, though I have blown through so much money since joining up here, I really need to take a break    But damn if it ain't fun!

Fingers crossed TRU actually ship them out

A discontinued item at over 50% off? No brainer and worth taking the financial hit ( though at $25 per not much of a hit)

I am really hoping they post out my order. I was happy to buy some at $41 a few weeks ago and I don't have a TRU to pick sets up from.

When did you order yours? Just curious, no need answer. Hope we both get our orders filled.

 

I picked up a couple during the 25% off sale, too. I guess I'll make a point of picking up any that may be in the local TRU store when I'm there tomorrow. Although when there last, I think there may have only been one left, and that was two weeks back. We'll see.

Placed it yesterday morning so it should be good. I have a heap of Lego coming in from DJs, Myer and TRU soon.

Got the same e-mail - unable to fulfil the order, so cancelled.

No Dino's at my local TRU.

 

And no Opera Houses at the Myer.

 

Will hit other ones over the weekend and see if I have any better luck.
