Has anyone actually received one of the new sets yet?

If we are talking the minecraft sets.  I have a bunch arriving tomorrow or the next day.

As for the poor choice of words... I give you.

Anytime they can license a product to bring in a new audience it has to be a good thing. Minecraft is already a well known brand.

Anyone made their own Minecraft sets inspired by the first one?  e.***. With lots of little 1x1 tiles?

I started trying to make one at minifigure scale, which I think involved 3x3 cubes (8 plates high) to try and make the ore blocks look authentic.

I would imagine the popularity of any Lego set helps Lego's overall sales.

I was more thinking of the game, not necessarily the sets.

I love you man! :)

As for the Minecraft sets - I just don't get it.  They are so small and consist of the small pieces.  Why not grab bunch of those 1x1 from different sets or from lego store walls if you need them that much?

Lol you too!

I am with you - the game doesn't appeal to me but holding that set in your makes me feel like its expensive as heck. This is one thing that makes me think it wont be a good investment.
