August 24, 201312 yr 1st time I see one for sale. So some retailer donates them. Better then just throwing away I guess. $265 is a bit too optimistic for a glued set, even with acrylic box
August 25, 201312 yr I saw one of these displays yesterday or today, it was airport display. Sold for $500 I think. http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-LEGO-CITY-AIRPORT-STORE-DISPLAY-LIGHTED-CASE-W-8404-7936-3180-3181-/200939459062?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item2ec8ecd1f6 I don't think I've seen these before either.
August 25, 201312 yr I know they are glued, but a lot of these displays are pretty cool. If I was a ninjaco fan, I would definitely buy the one in the Brickpoints store. I have thought about putting some of my larger Lego sets in glass cases.
August 25, 201312 yr I think a glass case would be cool, but I just do not understand gluing the sets together.

August 25, 201312 yr I got a monster fighter one for $100 shipped on ebay. Just be patient and wait it out. You will find it cheaper. They are actually pretty cool if you have room to display them.
August 25, 201312 yr Displays like this sell for $100-$175 shipped. Some of the larger 4 foot displays sell for $250-$400 or more.
August 25, 201312 yr I suspect the new Star Wars display with all the minifigures would fetch a pretty good price.
