Building Crane "Special Edition" vs. Not

Hey all - we have a couple of 7905 Building Cranes. Looking them up online, some folks have boxes that say "Special Edition" and some don't. Same set # - what's the difference?

Thanks if anyone knows. :-)

I have looked pretty much everywhere and I cannot find an image of that particular set stating "Special Editon" or even "Limited Edition". The closest thing I found was this 66194 City Super Pack containing four sets, one of which being the Building Crane. I have no clue where it was sold though as that information is missing. I believe there is nothing to an actual difference between the two aside from a slightly altered box.

There are a couple of the special edition boxes shown on eBay right now, this is one:

But yeah, as far as we've been able to determine, they're identical - same number of pieces, etc. Just making sure I wasn't missing some important bit of info on them before we buy/sell (my husband is a crane freak, so he may be doing some upgrading of some he has and selling off others, etc.)

I really had to look to spot the Special Edition yellow triangle up in the upper right hand corner. I'm wondering from box size and theme if it was perhaps a Toys R Us exclusive at the time. I don't recall seeing this in regular stores back in the day. The crane is neat but my favorite part is the porta potty. Hey, even minifigures need to go 'when nature calls'.
