I must be on a different system. For me they have me enter the weight and dimensions of each box and I pay the rate based on the weight and dimension of each box not a flat $3.75 for each additional box. 

Just played around with a shipment and there is no discount for adding multiple boxes. They do price on the weight and dimension of each box. No difference in price between splitting one 50lb shipment into five 10 lb boxes or five different shipments of 10 lb boxes. For comparison one 50lb box was $19.83 whereas five 10lb boxes was $42.60. Two 25lb boxes was $4.40 more than one 50lb box.

I'm going to start pallet shipping by freight...that looks like it much less expensive.

Likewise you can double box a valuable collectible and put your label on the outer box along with a "ready to ship" sticker and then amazon will ship that item triple boxed to the customer (this is how I pack for the Soundwave Transformers etc().

If you've gotten returns before then you should know that

a) Customers/Amazon are not required to provide you with a reason for the return, and
c) Customers have up to 45 days to actually return the item

The information you're looking for isn't going to show up until Amazon actually gets the item back from the buyer.

Sometimes it can take days/weeks to show up.  If it's FBA, it may show up back in your inventory.  Just keep an eye on it.  If it arrives damaged or they want you to inspect it, it will show up in your inventory as "Unfillable Inventory".  You can decide what to do with it from there.  There should be a basic explanation in a few days in your Fulfillment Reports under Returns.  It should show a basic reason for the return.

Need some advice from the FBA experts: I have a few LEGO shipping cartons (with the black and purple band). I want to send in 6x 41035 Heartlake Juice Bar to FBA, but if I send them as individual items I'm being asked to ship to 3 different warehouses, effectively killing much of my profit. Can I put them as a case pack inside a LEGO Shipping carton? If yes, who knows how many 41035's LEGO puts in their cartons? Or alternatively, can I just make my own box, put all 6 in it and then ship them to Amazon as a case-packed item so that I only have to ship to 1 warehouse?

In this case, I'd just put them all in one of your own boxes and ship as one case.

create your own box, ship as case.  Thats what I do.  It sucks when you have like 20-30 of a item and then you go to ship them and they want 10 to this Ditribution center, 15 to another.  Since, then...I always case pack.

Didn't even think about it from the selling side...I don't think I had a lot in the warehouses at the time.  It was a total bust from the buying side.  I have a buddy who works for Amazon and he made it sound like it was going to be a serious clearance event with lots of deep discounts on everything that was Prime.

Yeah...I bought a bunch, submitted it, was told that it wasn't enough without any indication of what would be enough, and basically had to guess at how much I would have to buy.  We'll see if it's worth it in the long run.

I think I ended up breaking even on the stuff I bought to get ungated.  Sometimes I think about setting up a table at a local comic show or something and selling the common action figures for $5 and breaking even.  For every unmasked Kylo Ren or FN-2187 figure, there are an equal number of resistance troopers and Constable Zuvios that come in each case.  Let's hope they grandfather us in for Rogue One, Episode 8, etc.

I am new to selling on amazon and I ship myself. Does anyone know if I have a damaged boxed set that I want to sell, what do I need to do, so that I don't get a negative review when it arrives? There is a hole in the box, but not large enough for the contents to fall out and the seals are intact.

Sell it as collectible and post good pictures of the damage. I also open my damaged boxes up and take pictures of the contents to prove they're good. People aren't buying for the box if it already has a big hole, or normally for that matter. So, be honest and show them what they're getting and you'll be fine.

Final case pack question: Do you need to double-box to make it a case-pack, or can you just send in a single box with all items and call it case-packed?

You have been given some very bad advice my friend. It as against amazon policy to create your "own" case packs. You may slide by a few times (or not) but eventually you will get banned. Case packs are only to be used for items that are case packed directly from the manufacturer (in the case of lego those boxes with the purple and black striping on the outside).

You said you wanted to ship 6 of one item to one warehouse? Easy. Make your shipping plan for one of the item so it has to go to one warehouse. After you create the shipping plan you can modify each item by up 6 units (so change the number to 6). This will allow you to send all 6 to one warehouse without breaking the rules.

My advice with amazon is don't try and bend the rules. They do not need 3P sellers at all, and they will not be taking on new, or keeping all existing, 3P sellers in the future either. Follow the rules, above all make THEIR customers happy no matter the cost, and long term Amazon will make your wallet very happy.

Agreed. From personal experience with digital publishing, Amazon will make you disappear in a wink if you break the rules. You cannot outsmart or out "game" Amazon. Follow the rules and find happiness.
