10k+ units

Are you stickering everything?  I'm running at a little over half that and I couldn't imagine stickering every unit I send in.

Yes. It ain't that hard when u do few skus . Rarely send single digits of a particular item

I'm sure this has been talked about before, but I'm curious what size boxes you use to send your inventory? Or do you use an alternative method more practical?

I just love the reason for this FBA return from a customer:

"looked much bigger in pictures, too small for small child to play with"

Yet the listing indicates the exact set build measurements in cm and inches and the recommended age range for the set.  I guess you learn to take the bad with the good selling on Amazon.

LOL. I wonder how big their monitor is...

I've gotten a half dozen 'frivolous' return requests this past year... i.e., "this is too expensive", or "no longer wanted".  I always approve them right away, and just remind them that, for full credit refund, the item has to be returned unopened and in good condition.  I usually never hear from them again. I think they change their mind when they realize they have to pay return shipping.  But just got my first item back: a Gingerbread House that was "not worth the price" ...at $69.98, I can understand. It came back in good shape.  Market price has taken a disappointing downturn, tho.

Looks like Amazon is cracking down on FBA listings for BB-8. All the sellers with hundreds FBA were gone yesterday, even though they were there a couple of days ago. Merchant fulfilled still seems to exist for some reason.

Probably temporarily suspended due to a critical mass of complaints from customers (or one counterfeiting complaint from Lego or Disney). Small number of merchant-fulfilled listings could be sellers adding them after they deactivated the current listings. If it's customer complaints they should be available again in due time. If there are counterfeiting complaints and AMZ decides to nuke the listing ... well, it will be interesting to see how that plays out. I would view trying to get in on the action right now as a serious risk; they could decide BB-8 minifigs should be behind the TFA product gating wall and suspend anyone with an active listing (or anyone who's had one).

I'm ready to ship my first shipment to FBA!

Do I need to / should I put all the polybags in a container (a big ziploc bag or a small box) inside the shipping box?

I have a bunch of bags of different kinds in the same shipment.

TIA.

I never had any issue sending polybags as  is .

Great! Thanks!

So Amazon received my shipment in full, everything looked fine, then they sent my products to different FCs, and one of my items dropped from qty 3 to 2. Any idea what happened to this lost inventory and what (besides the proverbial call to CS) I should do? Does this happen from time to time, and if so, do they ever "find" the missing piece?

Open a case with Seller Support.  This happens all the time and I do mean all the time.  Amazon lost or damaged several hundred units of mine last year.  Not a big deal though...they'll reimburse you either with additional inventory or a cash settlement.

Funny you say this... I sent in 4 of a very expensive item, they received it and over the past week the qty has gone from 4 to 3 to 2 to 1, yet none of their reports show anything, the item history shows nothing. I've been working with CS for about 45 minutes.

A little scary, going to need a better system to audit it.

For your item does it show it as being lost or misplaced? If so they will find it or refund you most times without you stepping in.

I have had quite a few issues with them losing or never counting the polybags. (Maybe it's just me) I'd bag them in a bigger clear bag/ziploc and put it at the top to be safe....

BA does more volume than me so his exp carries more weight, but I've had multiple issues. Just putting it out there :-)

One thing about FBA is that they are never consistent , that's why I like this thread , see what other folks experience .

so early December Amazon recieved extra 17 tree houses in my shipment , mind you I label my items so the possibility of that happening is about zero . I open a case and they said they double counted and their overage was correct and that I need to pay more attention in the future .. Fast forward till last week, I recieve notification that they miscounted and they withdrew the funds for the 17 units .

Never a dull moment .

I've been reimbursed for damaged items before, but haven't had one drop off the map. Thanks for the advice.

Showing nothing really... and yes, it is scary. Good luck!

I currently have a very vibrant love/hate relationship with FBA and (cue music) "we've only just begun." Never a dull moment, indeed.

Inconsistency is certainly the only consistent thing with FBA.  I pulled some R2s out of the FC a few weeks back.  Three of them were damaged during the return shipping so I opened a case on them.  One of the units was partially reimbursed within about 15 minutes...I spent about 7 days fighting with Amazon over the other two before they finally reimbursed those.

The good thing about FBA is that there are multiple data points entered on any given set.  If you go into "Manage FBA Shipments" and click on "Track Shipment" for the shipment that contained those units and then click on "Shipment Contents," that will bring up a list of the sets that were in the shipment and the number that were actually received.  As long as all of the units are showing up there, you're fine.

^^ This. At first, the numbers may look wonky as things are reserved, or moved around warehouses, or whatever. As long as the received quantity matches up with what you sent in, you have nothing to worry about. It'll either be in inventory, or the worst case scenario - "warehouse damaged" which you'll get reimbursed for.

And if items were lost between UPS and Amazon, you can file a claim and get reimbursed for that as well.

I mainly worry about realizing that they've decremented the inventory by x units, once I know it's somewhat easy to solve. But particularly when the it's crazy during the holidays I could see something slipping through the cracks.
