i have 1 helm's deep, 2 orc forge, and 3 urak-hai army (1 w/o minifigs). ive been waiting for good sales before i pick up the rest.

I'm guilty of picking up a few of these sets as well although but not to the magnitude of some of the others on here.  Must be human nature to desire something that they can't have.

This right here.  Once people see something gone, panic sets in.  It's not just Lego sets, but many items that we are around daily.  You see the panic set in on about every single high dollar set that Lego makes.  Once the stores start to run out, everybody runs around with their heads cut off trying to find them at increased prices.  I'm sure about everybody here is guilty of it.

I have NONE.  Since everyone and their dog bought these, I stayed away.

I am not down on anyone who doesn't like them. I would just say they are more under the radar then a lot of other sets.

The only set I'm missing is Battle at Helm's Deep and that disappeared months ago....only for Target to suddenly find a hidden stash of them somewhere. Where the heck are they finding these?! (<--I like that smiley a little too much. ) Like most things, it never went on sale and was just expensive. No matter, I put that money into everything else.

I'm only missing The Barrel Escape and The Goblin King Battle for The Hobbit now as I lucked out with some recent Walmart sales. :yahoo:

Haven't seen much point in stocking up on the others when they are so readily available at retail still.  Might be about time to grab a few though.

Same thing with the Ultra Sonic Raider and Epic Dragon Battle? Cause I saw a bunch of those as well at Target and Walmart both. The 7965 Millenium Falcon also made a reappearance with a slightly altered box at Target and that has been gone for a good while now.

Most of the other sets I have, but only 1 or 2 copies of each. I feel like the ones I listed above will be the better performers so I bought more of them.

 

Still don't know how I feel about MOM and Goblin King Battle. Scared to buy more than a couple of each.
