February 2016 Polybag Availability Update

Sorry if there's a post like this already. I searched but polybag comes up in so many threads its hard to see! I was thinking of getting polybags to sell. I'm not really looking for huge profit, mostly it seemed like a good idea for building up my eBay feedback. So I don't need to be super profitable but of course I don't want to lose money with shipping, etc. How do you know what bags will do well (obviously like anything theres no sure thing but any idea what does decent vs what js pretty much always a flop). They are hard to search for since they are random. How long do they usually last? Is there any general tips you could give?

LEGO is on a pod kick.  Guess they figured they have the mold, lets make more colors.

If it's a free gift with purchase, the system usually (always in my experience) allows it. Left to the worker's discretion. YMMV.

another Christmas one as well 5004934 LEGO Christmas Set,  could be a box set type thing though.  Gingerbread man and Chicken Suit Guy Easter still listed as well so those are still in existence.

Scarif Stormtrooper also listed so should see it show up as promo at LL too.  R3 will have a buddy soon

 

Maybe more suitable for the order status thread, but anyone else had their pods not ship yet? Ordered 5/31, I only had 3, status still shows items located in stock with 1 cancelled.

yes few still like that,  one delayed until late July , rest still say located in stock

Anybody find any info on the TRU battlepod

It typically won't be available online until well after the promo.

It is 20% off in store or free with $30 purchase. 

I'm 1 for 2 at my local TRU's. First one tried enforcing a 5 pod limit but managed to sweet-talk up to the 31 to had on hand. 2nd store would not budge and was not selling any period.

Batpods are also 20% today

If TRU's gonna sell them 5.99, then in a few weeks they'll be worth...just a few dollars more, but not nowhere near what's it's selling for now. Isn't that a deterrent from buying?

Indeed. The market is about to get flooded. Then it's a waiting game.

gallimimus trap polybag. people bought hundreds. look at price now

batpod is nowhere near the demand or limited supply of 30320 which was also fueled by perfect timing unlike pod which is coming out well after the movie.   LL having inventory can be anywhere upwards up 50k,  not to mention TRU inventory.  Big difference than a brief stop at gamestop and TRU before truly being gone from everywhere. 

I like the poly and obviously wanted a lot before they hit stores but it was a timing game as usual.  

So few stay truly exclusive and away and even the ones that do are not very good polys to begin with like 30602.  R2 has a shot but seeing no year on that one like last years can come back as a promo later on in the year at LL or another retailer.  

 

Just over 70 K of these made back in November 2016 in China unless there is another production run these should recover. Anyone else have a case from a different production run?

Couldn't find any at my TRU.  No signs either, just the 20% off.

Hey don't mess with the admiral. How about the re release of Darth Revan, Hoth Hahn, T1 weren't all of those "found" stock from old production runs?  I can't recall spent too much time in the hot sun this weekend. Plus this a POD we know that LEGO has already made or will be making what is it 3 new different pods this year (I have this info from a trusted inside source who has set numbers and names) so will they reconfigure the mold to go back to the Batpod we shall see. Like you I dumped all mine to Asian markets except for today's they will go in the vault with the admiral
