Lego USA changed their status from "call for availability" to "sold out" again. We need the status to be "retired" like they quietly did on the Weathertop set.

I wish but I don't think all of these will. And definitely not the DS.

 

This does tell me I need to get a few of those trains though...

Just wondering, where are you getting this information? Are you basing it off clearance, or something else? I know some if it comes from on-site like SSD, Tower Bridge and FB.

Thanks for the list.  I think it's good to have it just to know what is still available at retail from those release years.  Speculation on EOL can come later, but having the list is a good starting point and some of them will be definite candidates for EOL soon.

What is the source and what are we to do with this info? Right from the start, I see Hancock and sears and those i thought are already retired. There are others available still as well not on the list. I'm just not following what to do with this data.

My bad - I see this string was from 2012. I forgot we are in 2013.

On third thought, I'm confused still. This was started just yesterday. So what are we talking about 2012 here?

Meaning for this topic that you can buy it on sale/clearance before its goes EOL...All this sets not retired yet.

2012 sets will retire this year...most of them still available online/retail. That's different story.

P.S. Architecture sets not retired yet (as I know), except Korean building 21016 from 2012. I am not sure about Hancock and Sears Tower. May be I am wrong.

You got to admit, for two sets at completely different sides of the spectrum (in size and cost), both have done quite well it seems to stay around for this long.

That looks like a snazzy fire set. I note though the UK RRP was the highest.

I think the reason why they have kept 7741 for so long is that, what can do actually replace it with? It's a great design for a small set, difficult to improve on.
