Thought i'd post this up since its Lego related thought someone would have posted it

 

 

Artist Dean West first started thinking about using Legos in his work back in 2009, when he had a big box of the brick toys sent to his home in Australia.

But West didn't even know where to begin, since he didn't play with the Danish building blocks growing up.

After researching the toys a bit more, West found someone who was more skilled in the art of Lego construction - New York City sculptor Nathan Sawaya, Instead of making the Lego pieces himself, he thought he could integrate Sawaya's sculptures into a photo series.

Heres some of the pictures

1st image - two of the clouds

2nd image - train tracks

3rd image - woman's dog

4th image - lady's red dress I'm guessing, nothing else sticks out to me

Talk about seamless integration with the surroundings. It took me a while to eventually see those visual discrepancies.

Gotta admit the womens dress and the train tracks got me.

The dead tree and baby carriage in the last picture.  I'll admit, the only other one that even stuck out to me was the clouds.

Same here. I had to look real close at the tracks to even see a hint of Lego bricks, and with the dress the only part sticking out to me was the 'pieces' falling off behind it.

Let's see.

7th - tree

Those last ones were easier to spot but the brilliance in design behind them is incredible. The whole umbrella scene is very convincing.

I hate squinting and staring at my monitor just to find little bricks.     I just want to mention I love how the edges of red dress on pic #4 breaks down to the cold night wind.
