I can't for the life of me find the thread about whether a set is a good deal or not...so anyway, I started one in the Canada section.

 

Found:

Monster Fighters 9463 The Werewolf - $16.24 + 12% tax (reg $24.99)

Monster Fighters 9462 The Mummy - $9.74 + 12% tax (reg $14.99)

 

Should I pick these up? I am not interested in building these sets and am looking purely for investing purposes.

Most of us picked up werewolf at 13 and mummy at 7 on walmart / amazon clearances. I would pass, you have a lot of competition with cheaper goods.

Not bad for CAN prices...just over 30% discount I think.  If you're undecided, just buy 1 of each ONLY.  Taxes in would only cost you $30 for the two.  I would personally save the $30/some funds and use it in Sept for the promo mini vw van polybag at Lego Store  

Yeah. I've seen the Werewolf clearance at walmart for 15 + tax here in Canada. 

Honestly, I don't see much value. The two minifigs will be pretty popular later on, but the sets have been so discounted, I don't think it's going to be that great. For example, these sets were

 

10$ for werewolf

5$ for Mummy

 

In the US - Canadian would be a little more, but selling them it's still a disadvantage.

I found this one for $75.  But there are no minifigs included.  They all include the box and manuals expect for the Spongebob.
