I have an opportunity to buy a 8038 battle of endor for $149...is it still a good buy for investment purposes? Will the sets value continue to rise or should I pass on it? I'm thinking bout pulling the trigger...

Well that is currently about $20 than what it worth. I would never invest in post-eol sets, but I know people do and see profits.

In my opinion get it. once  the village comes out people will be eating this set up.

It is a nice set, but I see this on Ebay constantly going for $120. I think you would have better luck trying to grab it on Ebay for $120ish

Its CAGR is not tremendously high.  The set is pretty nice but I doubt it will ever go much above 200

The value is mostly in the figures, don't you think? The at-st is cool but not unique, and the bunker isn't very special, although has some exploding walls my son likes. I don't know if I would buy as investment, but I had to have for personal collection - which is why I bought it used.
