As the title asks, what LEGO theme have you invested in the most? Let's define "most" as theme you have the most sets of.

Here's my personal breakdown:

  • Star Wars - 30
  • Harry Potter - 10
  • CM - 7
  • Lord of the Rings - 5
  • Hero Factory - 4
  • Chima - 2
  • Lone Ranger - 2
  • City - 2

I'm sure that most of you have larger collections, but let's hear it!

You can figure this out by going to your Brickfolio, then to the second pie chart.

I think we should categorize under a new theme called "ten." Star Wars is great, but Star Wars UCS is money. Creator is great, but Creator Expert is money.

At one point was Harry Potter, but those are selling off.  LOTR/Star Wars are tied roughly, slight lead to Star Wars (B-Wings and Imperial Shuttles).  Monster Fighters coming in at 3rd.  Coming in at 4th is Pirates of the Caribbean, and 5th is random stuff like the Tower Bridge and other misc themes.

Star Wars - with their great rate of return, it is a no brainer. However, i do feel that the creator sets such as the tower bridge, and that series of landmarks will do very well, if not better than.

Star Wars.  If your answer is not Star Wars then "I find your lack of faith disturbing". :declare:

I would have to say its what your in to - for example, i know people who would never buy a star wars set just because they are not into them, but would buy every LOTR set if they could

Probably Monster Fighters.  I have quite a few Zombies sets.  The rest of my investments are spread across lots of themes.

Right now I have over 400 sealed large and medium sets.

My top 5 most invested themes are:

1. Star Wars

2. Lord Of The Rings

3. Monster Fighters

4. Super Heroes

5. Town / City

Strictly based on number of sets, my answer would have to be the CMF since I bought a box of series 10 (60 "sets") :D

I would say the same for me in a way. Main leading majority of my 'sets' are Collectible Minifigures. I'm up to my ass in them! (Still funny how you can type "ass" and "hole" but not "*******".) Honestly though far as regular sets go, I have absolutely no idea. I just go with the flow and buy pretty much buy everything I like.

How else we would be able to discuss the noble and hardworking ass? My favourite is the Nubian Wild Ass  :D

As long as you don't like prince of Persia and world racers. Lol

Monster Fighters is making a run at the 3rd spot after yesterday.

I really hope that theme does well.  I don't have huge expectations, but a 20% increase in value after MSRP would be alright with me.
