Update to this crazy story.  Of course the buyer never returned the item and never sent any documentation verifying they received their package with rat feces inside.  I called eBay

Are they using a limo with chauffeur for delivery?

I thought EBAY USA charged comms on item value and shipping now.

They do charge fees on item + shipping. And listings like this expose you to poor "shipping cost" feedback.

There's really no basis for doing it, other than a moron seller.

And then you have to deal with all the smartasses who want to do a local pick-up too!

According to their feedback, they don't like to check their email, so problem with that.

Someone just started a return for a Supergirl polybag I sold on Ebay:

"Here's what the buyer said

Reason

Doesn't fit"

They have me confused with a seller who sold them clothing? Or does this make sense and I don't get it?

Thanks.

I hope this doesn't end up like the purple stain Jenna Jameson doll.

Maybe they have an Xbox instead of a ps4.

They just selected a random reason from a drop-down. Just suffering from buyer's remorse.

I sold a Hatchimal to a buyer with over 33,000 feedback. He (she) sent me a message asking to please message with the tracking number. Seems like they would know how to look that up on Ebay.

I had a couple of those from the same buyer.  I assume it's a dropshipper, but I'm unsure why they request the tracking number be sent to them, since they probably also receive the automatic email from eBay that says "Your Item Shipped".

They also asked no receipts in the box.

i have had a couple of these last week as well with the no receipts in the box on defend the batcaves.   checked the going price on amazon, saw the price had edged up a bit on amazon, readjusted the price up on ebay,  no more "no receipts in the box" sales.

I even had a drop shipper ask me to hold off shipping so that they could send me pre-paid envelopes to put the items in.  I was selling a lot of 4 of one small set.  They seemed perplexed when I explained that this goes against eBay/Paypal policy/protection.  This person also had 10,000+ feedback.

I keep on attracting newb buyers who don't check their address and happily click away on the "complete purchase" button, only to realize their address is wrong right after. Last one was someone who realized after he paid that EBay used his UK address, not his current US address. You'd figure the $20 shipping charge would have been a clear indication (item had free US shipping) .... Worst thing is that Paypal takes $0.30 for every cancellation I need to do because of dufus buyers......

Of course unless this is a scam of some sort, but I fail to see how that would affect me if the transaction goes via the GSP ....

We should all buy one of Katie's items each and then open a SNAD case as soon as the item arrives. It's Ascot which is only 15 miles from me so I can buy, offer cash on collection and then REFUSE to accept the item when I get there. I have a "spare" eBay account for reasons like this.

Meanwhile, I have reported the current "10221" on sale to eBay and LEGO. I also sent the seller a crappy message using my old account ;-)

I'm not quite sure what the process is for formally reporting somebody who is knowingly dealing in counterfeit goods with the aim of making a profit by deliberately misleading buyers. I'm going to dig out my Trading Standards contact and report the seller them them also! Oh, I think I'll tip off HMRC too while I'm at it as it's clearly a business. We will bring these bastards down together!

Yes the more of us that can report these listings, the better. The SSD growth has certainly been impeded by these knock offs, and many are buying them at £350. This set looked destined to reach 4 figures.

The LEPIN SSD listed by katiek77h has just been removed ;-)
