January 11, 201313 yr Great looking set. I was really hoping for more detail on this one....one of the LEGO store employees told me they were planning to do another, larger, version in 2013....anyone else hear that too???
June 5, 201312 yr Interesting thread from July 2010!: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=44546
July 22, 201312 yr There you go. Not sure how the release of 10234 will affect it, but it looks like a good price if you want one. www.walmart.com
July 23, 201312 yr I just read Sydney Opera House and thought it was the big Creator one...LOL that's what I get for being lazy and reading only the name and price. Right now it is OOS online, but you can get it in store, if the Walmart has it in stock [obviously].
July 23, 201312 yr Darn, I was hoping it was the UCS Opera House. I hope you mean the Creator Opera House...

It's pretty hard to tell how long Architecture sets last, since only a few have retired, one of them immediately remade under a different name (Sears Tower -> Willis Tower), the John Hancock Building, and the Asian Temple that I can't spell?

I could be completely wrong, but I feel like the less popular, slower selling Architecture sets get retired much quicker than the more popular ones. This seems to sometimes be the case with other themes as well.
December 27, 201411 yr Should i buy them for 22,5 ? Normal price is 39,99 in europe i cant decide too. i think its a good set. nearly all architecture sets get high after eol
May 6, 201510 yr OK... retired. So now what are the prospects for this set? I saw a couple at my local Books a Million... $40 - 20% off coupon + tax = $34.16 each. Worth it now? I guess I'd like it if it were going to $75 in the next 6 months or so... but I just don't have patience to hold a set like this for years. So... deal, or no deal?

June 7, 20169 yr @Brian92007: Funny that you mention that. I thought *the same thing* when one of my TRUs had a bunch (three) suddenly last Wednesday. They were $46.99, if I recall, but I didn't realize they were retired so didn't think much of it.
June 7, 20169 yr I sold a few for more than 100 euros last xmas and also picked up a few more for RRP. When big brother 10234 retires, one can expect this set to be worth 150 or more, similar to Guggenheim or Farnsworth.
