That and his other sets look like a credit card/fraud shipping scam, I would avoid. Also he does have a negative for selling a fake iPod.

I am concerned about the fact that this seller is using stock photos for most of his sets.  That is often a sign of a shyster shipper / drop ship fraudster / whatever we're calling them these days.

Yeah tough to tell. I thought I would put it out there and let other's make their own decision. It is getting hard to avoid them anymore.

 

I think the price though is not terribly low so there are some things that don't scream scam.

There are definitely plenty of people that are legit and are just lazy. I think they mean this is a sign if coupled with other things. They have to use a stock photo because they don't have the item in hand.

I list hundreds of items each month, and I use stock photos.  But, yeah, I guess I'm lazy because I don't want to waste hours taking pictures and uploading them.

They can, but a lot of times they are lazy as well and know someone will bite either way. We have plenty of articles on the Website about it. This, combined with one of the other big things like low feedback, high handling times, and low item prices is pretty telling that the person who doing something they shouldn't.

 

If you aren't taking the time to upload pictures, you are probably throwing away some money as those usually go higher, unless you are using BIN. Then it doesn't matter as much.

Why would a seller waste their time when high quality stock photos of sets can be used? Also I don't see the logic of it not mattering if its BIN, so auctions get a higher bid due to using your own photos??
