I don't really like it. Too stubby or something, and as the creator said, "Super-Deformed". Also not accurate enough for my taste.

From a kid's perspective I like it. Reminds me of the Super Hero Squad a bit just the stubbiness of it.
From a geek's perspective, no it is totally wrong (just like SHS :P )

I don't even think kids would like it to be honest. It seems kinda style after Little Tykes/current Tonka toys. From what I know of these "bloated" toys they are not popular with parents and kids over the ages of 5. I need to go digging for a source, but I've read something about this trend of bubbled toys within the past few months.

Really? Cause i think it looks pretty deformed.

I used to do some Gundam plastic modeling so perhaps I am just used to the Gundam Super Deformed models.

Here is an example.  Notice the proportion of the head compared to the torso.

Compare it to the head vs torso ratio on 1/100 scale model:

Now that is SUPER deformed

Ive tried to find the plans for the stubby xwing in that site, but cant. Is there a hidden instruction link?

I can imagine this to be the new sets replacing the Planet series.

Yep, this pretty much sums up the recruitment sub-line. Except those are even more deformed :frantics:
