With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like.

 

Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this.  I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...

LOTR doesn't last around here, 30% off and they are gone. I'd say it could be a demographic thing. POP on the other hand, lingered on shelves just about everywhere until extrememly discounted.

All the 1st wave LOTR are long gone around me..

The must have shipped them all west because they are all over the place discounted here.  Or maybe people here are smart and wont buy until the discount is greater than 30%?

Went to a Wal-mart and passed on a ~50% off Sity Fury Interceptor ($45).  Just not that into the New Republic stuff.

So which one of you on here beat me to the epic find on craigslist Baltimore.....UCS SSD, death star, and 5 Modular buildings and some other ucs set for 300.00 bucks? Thanks for leaving the tower bridge that is missing 5 pieces for 50 bucks though.

No Palpatine's Arrest for me. I went to TRU and the shelf was empty. But I dug around and found a hidden box. Looking at it, my gut said no. So I bought a Teen Titans Go! figure for my son instead. Oh, and another HD on ebay to get my fix :)

Holy Cow    I can't believe these are still on the shelves.  That TRU must be hurting for revenue.

I was contemplating getting the Tumbler Chase and City Park Pool price matched with Amazon at Target but instead had spent that cash on a couple clearanced items at Walmart I really did not expect. Perhaps another time. Oh, I also did not find any seasonal polybags at Target either. Kinda bummed on that one. :(

Yeah, I've been meaning to pick up at least two Tumbler Chases for awhile now. The minifigures should forgive that poor man's tumbler in the long run.

Today I did not buy a Z-95 Headhunter for $35 at 30% off and a 75016  for $25 at 15% off.

I didn't buy any new Hobbit sets today because TRU wouldn't let me. 

went into my TRU and didnt buy any of the LEGO sales except Technic Tow Truck .. this set has the best potential out of them all in my opinion!!!

A mint 3182 Airport that went for peanuts.  I had to join an emergency conference call at work and couldn't bid at the last minute! ;-(  I'd have tripled my money on that overnight!  A VERY hot set to flip if you see one in a poorly worded listing.
