With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like.

 

Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this.  I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...

I found some a few weeks ago at Target. Got all 8 for $100

Saw a cloud city at 350chf in a worn box. The retail price was 499 but at 350chf don't think I can make much so gave it a pass. 

I didn’t buy UCS A-Wing at my local LEGO Store because they were OOS.

Shoot, that's one of the sets I would expect to be in stock.

I stopped into my local TRU to see if there were any deals. Lots of Lego stock, but no deals. I saw at least 6 Hogwarts Express still lingering...but full MSRP. Tempting, but I passed.

I think it’s retiring and OOS most everywhere now.

Also did not buy 10291 Queer Eye Loft.  The Disney Springs store was overrun with that set.  There was at least one full wall, and then sets scattered along the tops of multiple other display walls throughout the store.  It was the only set they had marked at 20% off.  But they had a ton.

ITs the biggest turd of 2021 by a long shot, dethroning Vidiyo. Its overstocked everywhere. Its the set literally no one asked for, basically a politically motivated set......

I didn't realize this set was politically-motivated.  I thought they were doing iconic sets from tv shows, like with Friends and Seinfeld, too.

It ain’t moving at 20%. Not sure I’d pick up at 50%. Still no meat on that bone.

Friends, Seinfeld, Big Bang - those are all Ideas sets. ***** Eye’s licensing arm approached LEGO about creating the set.

QE is a netflix intellectual property, same as Stranger things.  maybe we will have a "Netflix" theme eventually.

Nah.  Have you seen how they work?  You Tube it.  They seem to be at many airports throughout the World.

Did not buy the Ahsoka, French Bulldog, or Lion Dance Guy BHz because they are delayed to LEGO. Not just online, but also in store. Didn’t buy the new Hotel modular, but I do like it in person.
