What Lego set did you NOT buy today?

With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like.

Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this.  I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...

A Heartlake Shopping Mall must have been found in the back at TRU.  It rang up $119.99.  I have a 20% off coupon, but still didn't pull the trigger on it.

3x Haunted Lighthouses for $55 each and 2x Wookie Gunships still $70.  Once this Kmart is depleted of clearance I might work magic on them, but not today :)

I did not buy anything from Target. I want to, but the NEX and Kmart clearance have me broke.

I felt like target was trying to tell me something.

I also passed on two of the amusement parks with the bogo 40. Did I make a mistake? Or is Target right?

I'd be buying Friends Poo all day long. :thumbsu:

Ok, you caught me. I wasn't really interested in buying it. Hadnt seen anyone post anything about it since they first came out. Thought someone might want to know they're on clearance. At 70% I'm in for personal use, but doubt it'll go there.

Not everyone is excited about these. I bought the mintiest one and left the rest. I'll come back in a couple weeks. a83f61bd4df0df00bb076a2e4b2e1d5a.jpg

a taped up 60036 for $90 & several 66546 for $44 at walmart

Ewok village for 220

some slightly beat up AT-TEs for $60 at walmart. did grab the only mint one. Left A LOT of rogue one buildable figs @ $13.00 behind since i've already got my fill at that price at walgreens... hoping they stick around to a deeper discount

The two Minecraft sets at B&N.

Wish I could say the same.
Passed on a bunch of Series 2 microfighters in dented boxes. I may have grabbed them if they weren't so ugly.

Those I probably would have grabbed. Even with that dark red I couldn't bring myself to grab the Minecraft stuff.

75 +10+5 was impossible to pass. Not including all the SYW points I earned. It was practically free.
At the least, my kids' friends will think I got them $80 Lego sets for their birthday. Social currency.

I'm a big believer in social currency for my kids friend's birthday parties. Always good.

Did I just coin that term "social currency"?
Angry Birds, one set, to hold, almost got me.

I had the angry bird brown boat thingy in my Wally World cart but, alas, I put it back on the shelf. Angry birds=75% or bust!

Kind of sad when I had to think long and hard about buying 50% off SW sets at Walmart.  Back in the old days (like 2 years ago), these would have been buy now think later kind of situation.

Goes along with "political capital" at work.

Held off for the entire LEGO Shop at Home Star Wars extravaganza. Really wanted that R2 poly but in the end just couldnt do it. Heres to hoping it pops up in stores this summer.
