With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like.

 

Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this.  I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...

Not even 2 months ago someone on this forum reported seeing the new U-wing on clearance at WM the week it came out. Not once, but twice.

Could be that they were supplied with too much stock, and the manager decided to use some of his clearance budget to get rid of some of the excess stock. Or could just be a WM that doesn't care.

I've found it best not to try to understand what they do.  Just sit back, smile, and watch .... like those $12 UCS sandcrawlers.

I did not buy a Ra's al Ghul set from Target today.  That might not seem shocking since it's a WM exclusive, but I found one on a Target shelf.  The b-team CS reps today couldn't figure out what to do and wouldn't sell it to me.

I passed on 10 x 75112 General Grievous at 19.99 euros each in a french supermarket...

Passed on a mint Pet Shop in an all but baron lego aisle at my Target. Had the red sticker of death at $104.99. I did put it in and out of the cart twice fwiw.

No 65 euro 75105 MF´s for me this year. Market for them is saturated and Lepin has done serious damage.

Sad, as that has been a staple winner for me in the past.

@BricksBrotha I'd take 5 at that price. If I'm wrong, i don't wanna be right

Shelf full of 75084 Wookiee Gunship at 33% off, they've been sitting there for months, was hoping they would have reduced more but no. Not really worth buying right now as only selling for abit above RRP. don't really see much of a future for set aswell.

Saw it at Walmart for $3 off and was very tempted to walk out with it. Very cool looking set.

Shelf full of 75084 Wookiee Gunship at 33% off, they've been sitting there for months, was hoping they would have reduced more but no. Not really worth buying right now as only selling for abit above RRP. don't really see much of a future for set aswell.

I picked up one at 50% off back In March. Still can't get rid of it for under RRP. You made a good decision.

Picked it up at a local Walmart today for $9 and the box was in pretty good condition. Trying to debate opening it up, reselling it now, or later[emoji848]

My first time seeing one in the wild. I almost bought it so I could say I had one too.

Their buyer certainly has his finger anywhere but on the pulse. Don´t get an Exo, the club of those of us who didn´t is much more exclusive!

TRU finally called me this afternoon to say that they've tracked down 4x Scooby Doo Mystery Machines to replace the ones that were trashed. I simply replied, "I can't possibly buy them as I'm no longer a TRU customer, I want them MISB and can't go through another 2 month wait for a refund!". It's the Reading branch if anybody wants to pop in and ask for them.

I went to toys r us to day and was looking at the poly bags they had a hulk 5003048 & 5004406 first order general both £4.99 personally I think that's crazy price what do you guys think ? Hulk was at least a little build but Star Wars was just mini fig

At my local TRU: 76007 IM malibu mansion for $45, 20-30 70164 hurricane heist for $50, 60036 arctic base for $100, 70145 ice mammoth for $110, 70226 mammoth stronghold for $75, the also had 70143, 70732, 70227, 42042 at RRP or higher. They still have a bunch of all the JW sets too.
