With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like.

 

Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this.  I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...

Target had complete restock of JW tempted to get some IR for QF but I don't have any boxes that size right now so too lazy

Passed on ~75 Force Awakens C3POs at toysrus that were marked up to 5.99. Also a cars set 8426 that was resealed and sounded like nothing in bags at Walmart.

I made an appointment to buy this lot for $120, even offered $20 extra if the owner could find the manuals for the sets, but ultimately bailed an hour before meeting due to lack of funds (yeah ), likely reaction from the missus, and all the effort required to inventory and clean these sets before making money. Plus, didn't have guarantee that it included completed sets and minifigs. Still feeling a little sorry for myself, but I'm chalking this one up to financial prudence.

If anyone in Cincy/Mason is in for it - it might still be up for grabs. From what I could see it includes 7477 T-Rex vs T-1, Rey's Speeder, either a train wagon from early 1990's or Metroliner, possibly a TIE fighter, a Geonosis gun and one of the Harry Potter sets.

That's what I thought too but I suspect the Hulk set is inches away from retirement and I do like the figs in it.  Perhaps I'll keep an eye on them to see if they drop to ~$25ish...

I want the Goblin King for a build but not at $79, if it is still there at 50% off I'll do it.

My Target in Cincy had those too, not sure if they dropped all the way to 50% though but they were definitely on clearance.

I bought mine from Shop at Home for 40% off and I would buy all of those at 50% off, no questions asked.  I have a higher tolerance for Super Heroes than some.
