What Lego set did you NOT buy today?

With all of the threads for what you bought, built, or sold, I think it might be interesting to hear what some people passed up on while out shopping? Might help get an idea of what one doesn't like.

Note: Don't get crazy with this, obviously one could list every set at there local store, but that would defeat the purpose of this.  I'm hoping this might help with impulse buying, which I'm sure many of us have done from time to time...

I was about to click "Buy" for the 2x VIP points but, common sense prevailed as I'm VERY short on storage space. There'll be another time when I've offloaded all my current stock. Just glad I have willpower at last.

I saw 2 Easter seasonal set for $9.95+tax with 2 limit. Quick math gets me like $3 profit assuming I can beat all the other ebayer and sell these for $19.95. Small timer just doesn't make sense.

was outbid on a mostly complete 2005 sandcrawler on ebay a short while ago. sorry but I'm not gonna pay original retail let alone more for only a partially completed set.

I saw a lone 10695 at Walmart the other day.  As I picked it up I noticed how light it was.  It turned out the seals were removed from either side so I left it alone.

I stopped by yesterday and this thing was still on the shelf. :D

Mall the 10695's around me have gone up to $30. Makes me regret not loading up on more.

One lone Red5 at the discovery center today.  Was tempted but the line of 50+ kids at the check out allowed me to resist buying yet another....

Still have a Tumbler in my MY Bag at Shop.

passed up a few TTrackers and Pterodons at Target and a lot more JW at TRU ...

7894 Airport. Saw it on Craigslist - guy was asking for $50 OBO and wanted to sell fast. Emailed immediately thinking I could get it for $30 or $40. He said I just missed it - sold to someone else

At Legoland California today, I passed on a damaged box 75059 UCS Sandcrawler for 15% off.  Nice puncture hole in the middle of the box.  But, I'm not that big of a SW fan to want that set, not even at 15% off.

I also passed on 3 75919 Indominus Rex Breakouts today at TRU.  Maybe you can guess why?

That's just plain stoopid on the managers part!

the security spiders?

The question is whether the person returning them swiped the dinos and then claimed they were missing, or if they were already gone when they bought them?  I'm guessing the former.

If TRU sells the set no figs, will they do the reverse and part out figs only?

I did not buy a sw lot on kijiji (CL) in Edmonton because someone beat me to it.

10225 -R2, 10188 DS, 10240 R5, 750xx At-at and 750xx SD for 390 us all used, with instructions. That would have been nice for both of our collections.

I returned a DS, 4 PC, a SOH, 15 MM, and some walking dead building sets to wipe out my Target card debt. Spent way more than I sold as August has been brutal for me.

I was at Target tonight and hidden to the side of some other LEGO Star Wars sets were 4 of Rey's Speeder #75099.  I casually took them to the register where the associate scanned them and no dice.  The register came up with a message that the set couldn't be sold until 9/4 and wouldn't allow any sort of override to check out.

6 Raptor Escapes because Walmart decided to only send half of my site-to-store order.

I’ve not been buying 70170 UltraCopter vs Antimatter at 50% for some time and I didn’t buy anymore at 50% today.
But I was the entertainer, checking out if they had any Bennys spaceship in store and both kids and parents were going nuts for it, of all the sets they had at 2for1, this was the set that immediately got their attention, they picked up and they bought.  Maybe there is something in the helicopter in every set strategy.

2 x 60022 Cargo terminal @ 72 euro each.

Saw them in a store but my wife and kids were hungry. So we went to McD first and would go back for them after dinner. But then the store was closed. Will go back the day after tomorrow and grab them.

You find the most random, long sold out sets of anyone here.  You must have a lot of mom and pop shops that carry Lego but don't get high traffic for it.

I didn't get some clearance markdowns that I was told would happen today because they couldn't be bothered to price them or look for them, or anything. Even when I was right there and said that I just wanted to spend some money.

Didn't get the SW advent calendar. Didn't look that great in person and at $50 CAD, it was hard to pull the trigger. Hopefully I can find it for 25% off somewhere.
