I wanted to kick off 2026 by sharing something I’ve been quietly working toward for a while:

BrickPicker is coming back — bigger, better, and built around a new vision.

The last few years have been busy with life, but that time also gave me room to step back and rethink what BrickPicker should be… and what would truly make it a no-brainer tool for LEGO resellers.

BrickPicker v2.0 is being rebuilt with one clear goal:

Help LEGO resellers make smarter buying and selling decisions.

That means the site will be centered around:

• Deep analytics on current / active sets

• Tools that help resellers help other resellers

• A more “stock-style” experience (signals, trends, movers, volume, etc.)

• More than just a price guide — the kind of data that supports real decisions

One of the biggest upgrades is the data model itself.

BrickPicker v2.0 is being designed to provide 300+ data points per set — the kind of market intelligence that helps you answer questions like:

• Is this set actually moving, or just sitting?

• Is demand rising or fading over the last 30/90/180 days?

• Is this trending toward retirement risk?

• Is this a good buy right now at a certain price?

• What’s the real spread and profit potential after fees/shipping?

This isn’t just “price history” — it’s decision-grade analytics.

🧱 Massive update: Brickfolio is getting a major upgrade

A big part of BrickPicker v2.0 is a complete refresh of the Brickfolio experience — built for resellers who want to track inventory like a portfolio.

The goal is for Brickfolio to feel more like a LEGO stock dashboard for your inventory:

• Track performance over time

• Understand wins/losses and trends at a glance

• Inventory insights that help you decide what to buy more of, what to stop buying, and what to move

(Details coming soon — this is one of the areas I’m most excited about.)

Sounds like a huge step! Just want to make sure this is still a free place to exchange information.

There will still be free aspects to site, but other areas will have a cost. Things have changed, ads and affiliate revenue are not great models in 2026 for a site like this. BrickPicker was original when it came out 15 years ago (hard to believe its been that long), this new update, with its data and unique features will set it apart again. If you are a casual or serious reseller, you will find value and it will pay for itself.

Would site moderator get free memberships , or perhaps members with 10+ years ? .. lol

Happy to see you are excited about it. I really am as well. Been having a lot of fun putting this together. Right now I am focused on getting a mobile version ready to release with the site since there will be some major features that are mobile app reliant.

Sounds like some really neat updates coming. Looking forward to this!

Did you write that using Swift? Flutter? Just curious...can't wait to see the end product.

I went the React Native route. I looked into the benefits of each and because of how this type of site works, it just made more sense and will allow me to get updates out easier.

Just a note on the forum. I upgraded it to it's latest version 5.x but with that, some of the old 4.x features that I had built no longer work. I have reached out to the devs and just waiting to see when they may have time to update their apps. The focus is getting the site out over the next few weeks, along with the mobile apps, then I give the forum a bit more attention. I am using the forum as SSO (Single Sign On) and wanted to make sure I didn't release the site, then upgrade the forum and then everything blows up.
