Hi all,

I saw a nice little stop-motion video on youtube a while back, about a year ago but can't for the life of me find it to watch again on youtube, was wondering if any of you here can point me in the right direction or maybe one of you here actually created it! I'm just itching to see it again, odd, but I am. Here's what I remember from it...

I believe it starts off as a police chase of some sort and the guy crashes into a building, workers come and take down and rebuild the building, might have been a town hall of some sort, most likely a MOC. Lego trucks come and drop off lego a couple of times for the construction workers, once they've built a new town hall, all satisfied, I believe another car comes and crashes into it (?)

If anyone has the slightest clue which video that may be, please let me know, I just want to see it again!! :P

Thanks in advance!

The start of the clip you are searching sounds vaguely familiar but I am not really sure. Well aside from trying various keywords to search with such as "lego police chase" on YouTube, there is the site Brickfilms which has been around for years although I think somewhere they lost a lot of films from before a certain date. :( Plus trying to find something specific there now seems more difficult than before thanks to the nice yet awkward format.

Sorry I couldn't help much. However I do think this topic is a good idea where someone can leave a description for what they can recall and another person can help lend a hand in finding the elusive clip. In the meantime, I may have found your video.

Thankfully my Google search of "lego chase town hall" returned with that clip around the top so not much sifting required....this time anyway.

I know the main question was already answered but I remembered a link to another site just like Brickfilms called Bricks In Motion. It's a good site same as Brickfilms but in some ways a little better such as a search option or change format of browser view. If you're looking for a certain clip (new or old) and one site doesn't have it then perhaps the other will. In any case they both are great resources for all LEGO related fan films whether to peruse through or learn how to make some yourself.

The new Henri & Edmond came out about a month ago. Funny and beautiful animation as always. I particularly like the classic town vibe.

And then there is this masterpiece. Thanks to some blog exposure its gained a lot of attention recently, and deservedly so. PES meets Lego.

Also sort of a random tidbit, but I recently found the Youtube speed adjustment setting to be an extremely fun thing to tinker with when viewing animations. Under "settings" you can slow down videos to 25 or 50% speed and see how the pictures translate into movement. Makes you appreciate the amount of work that went into these.

Now that is imaginatively artistic. There really is nothing I can say that anyone watching this could better see for themselves. I love this stuff.

On the front page of Bricks In Motion features one of the oldest known brickfilms to date from way back in 1998. The low resolution is probably the only downside with these works as it is a nice flick with some underlying subtext and dark humor.
