November 20, 201213 yr Is the MBA series worth getting? It looks very interesting just wanted to know your thoughts, thankyou
November 20, 201213 yr I like them, especially kits MBA Kits 7-9. They come with a very nice box and display. I would definitely recommend them to any sort of LEGO fan.
November 20, 201213 yr thankyou, is it best to go in order?I think it would. They get more complex as you go along. Plus it helps you keep track of them and make sure you receive them in the mail.
November 20, 201213 yr I really like the MBA idea. I've only got the first kit so far but really looking forward for the rest. I agree to think it would be best to go in order as well.
November 22, 201213 yr What I don't like about it is that they changed the whole program. It used to be a subscription for kits 2 - 6, and you would automatically get the next set in the mail every month. But now, you have to buy the kits together, like kits 2 and 3, and then separately, kits 4 - 6. Also, for a higher price. The subscription used to be almost half the price for what all the prices are now.
May 5, 201312 yr I saw in a recent Lego club magazine that one of the upcoming MBA sets is going to be steampunk themed. It seems like a theme Lego could roll into that would attract a lot of attention. It is a personally a theme I would like to see and would enjoy. Are there any other people out there that would like to see something like that? I can't imagine it's so far off that Lego may have a theme that could be popular without having to license anything.TOK:Here's the article on The Brick Fan.
May 5, 201312 yr I saw a glimpse of this a couple of days ago and been meaning to post some images. Anyway, I thought it looked wicked cool to tell the truth, and I wish Lego would do an entire Steampunk theme one of these days! How could it fail? There is a CUUSOO project for a Steampunk theme, The Adventures of Steamrod.
May 5, 201312 yr Steampunk is where it`s at! Just saying. I`d love an official theme of any kind from TLG, and the MBA photos curtesy of Brickset make me very happy. Hopefully they will be for sale up here as well.
May 5, 201312 yr I think MBA could be a pretty good investment. Especially with the deal starting tuesday...
May 5, 201312 yr Sorry, what's MBA? Master Builders...? I might be a little slow, it is Monday morning I think Steampunk would be a great theme. A big untapped market for sure. Lots of possibilities for sets across all price brackets.
May 6, 201312 yr I added a link to the article from The Brick Fan and attached images to the main post. I was going to post about this myself but sadowsk1 got to it before me. Whatever, it's all good. Ha ha. I still think this is pretty cool and one of the better things to come out of the MBA kits in my opinion.

June 30, 201312 yr I've added info, images, and tagged links for all four MBA sets currently available from Shop-at-Home. Unfortunately, they do not seem to be available in any other country aside from the United States and are a Lego exclusive. I couldn't add all images to the main post because there is ten pics per post limit. I also would have been done a little quicker if my neighbor was not snoring so loudly I can literally hear him from here. It's driving me up the f'ing wall! I swear I could just .
June 30, 201312 yr These sets are really cool. I wasn't even aware they existed until recently due to them being US only. I would have loved to have something like this when I was a kid, such a great concept.
June 30, 201312 yr Saw these at the Lego store last night but I'm not sure if I want to jump on them as their potential is relatively unknown.. Still. I guess I could sit on them for myself if they don't pan out...
June 30, 201312 yr If they aren't sold outside the US it might be an opportunity for those of you who are flippers to get a few and sell them on Ebay with worldwide shipping.
July 1, 201312 yr I should have made a note stating all images are very large in size so it could take a while to load up all nineteen of them. I just added a little poll for everyone and would like to throw out the question of what you think about collecting and/or investing with the MBA kits.I tried to post this reply much earlier but it didn't go through.
July 1, 201312 yr I do have one complete set of the last MBA series and I think these are much better. The older series is not selling for much of a premium. It is possible this might do well eventually because it might not be on investor's radar so it might be difficult to find in a few years. On the other hand MBA is not something most Lego collectors would be looking at owning, more for a very serious collector.
July 8, 201312 yr The Brick Fan has posted a review of Kit 10 - Time Machine from the Invention Designer set. It's a very thorough review with lots of images. By the way, I have tried out the new Spoiler feature of the current forum setup in the top four main posts which should make loading up this topic very quickly for you by in a sense 'hiding' the posted images until you click on the "Show" button. Here's an example. Made you look! To close a Spoiler, just click the button again to "Hide" it. I'm hoping this will cut down on some clutter and loading times as well as better organization in long posts.
