What's the next theme you would like to see?

What would be your vote for the next theme for Lego to do?

I think my vote would be for theme parks. I think it would be cool to see roller coasters etc.

bill and teds excellent adventure.

Not so much Roman Mythology, but true historical Roman theme.  The figures and structures that could come of that theme would be incredible.

Any sort of historical theme would be appreciated. The only timeline Lego has addressed is medieval Europe.

Id vote Roman mythology

But if I could be free to choose anything on my mind I would take

1. Game of thrones (which is not possible in real LEGO world)

2. Much more LOTR than we actually get

3. Roman mythology with awesome Roman soldiers from CMF!

Someone certainly likes his Romans and medieval castles! I agree and approve this message.

Guh, zombies are sooo yesterday. Which is when I saw World War Z. During which I was thinking, "Guh, zombies are sooo yesterday."

As much as I like zombies in Lego, I am beyond tired of just more gawdang zombies altogther. Seriously, can we not come up with anything else? Even ghouls would be a change of pace from how things have been for these last number of years.

....Although Plants vs. Zombies in Lego would be pretty sweet.

hehe ofcourse... Castles and ancient stuff ftw :D

Those lego He-man minifigs are awesome. It would only really appeal to the over 30s who actually remember the cartoons that is unless they redo them.

I would love a full line of X-men with all the characters from the original cartoons.

Lego Sopranos anyone?

R.I.P. James Gandolfini

I think they should make a theme that bridges the gap between duplo and lego.  It would have guys that are around 50% to twice the size as minifigures, and they would call it Jack Stone...... Do I have great ideas or what!

Another idea! Ben 10 Lego!!!

He was being sarcastic.

Ha! Re-reading the whole post, of course he was... This is what too much Barney does to your brains...  :hyper:

All the themes I'd like to see revolve around wars and conflicts that lego would never do... so lets just go with Romans!

Id vote Roman mythology

I'd love to see Game of Thrones and even though it is an adult oriented story they could easily make sets that are fantastic yet not graphic just like LotR is. I don't see it happening but I would be psyched if it did.

More LotR...umm yeah of course!

Roman mythology would be a fantastic tie in/replacement for Castle like the the Fantasy sets were a few years ago. Or who knows this could act as a replacement for LotR when it eventually stops, which I hope is never.

Adventure Time!

I don't see how this couldn't succeed, as the show is very popular among children and adults. There is a Cuusoo project I like http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/38958 but I would really like to see a full theme as there are quite a few sets that they could produce.

Zombie minifigs. ( Will ALWAYS be popular)

Survivor minifigs with reversable heads for after they get infected.

Wrecked/Dilapidated buildings (Think what they did with the HH and that fire set with the charred roof, only expanded)

Pistols, axes, crowbars, chainsaws, etc. Basically everthing you see in other City sets, avoiding the military weaponry pitfall.

Customizable barricades (Tvs, chairs, furniture, wrecked cars, etc)

Modular-esque so you can collect them and build a sprawling, linked zombie infested city scene.

Possible Zombies vs. Survivors play function or video game tie-in, where purchases can be uploaded or provide characters, etc for the game.

Zombies.

Lego would be stupid not to produce a full fledged zombie theme at this point. Zombie anything sells as we all know and as long as TLG kept out graphic printing and half eaten zombies with their entrails dragging, this could take over where monster fighters left off. I couldn't see them following a story like The Walking Dead as it would be a little too adult oriented, and on the plus side by staying away from licensing they could keep set prices down. The only issue I can see with a Zombie Survival Theme is how I'm going to afford to buy every set on top of the current themes I'm following :D

1. History of Flight---staring with balloons, going to biplanes and airships, WWII models, up to the jet age, and finally spacecraft

2. A space theme with Apollo sets, MIR, and ISS, etc...

3. A Seven Wonders of the Ancient World theme with some really big sets

4. A History of Formula One theme-starting with the really old cars and going through the different looks over the decades, bonus points if they make sets of the really odd cars like the Brabham fan car or the Tyrell 6 wheel car

5. They'd never do this, but a casino theme might be interesting

Phineas and Ferb.  OOHHHHH you are sooooooo busted. :D

@ emes - similar to a casino theme, I think a Vegas theme would be awesome.

I could see this happening since most of Lego's licensed themes have been Disney. I mean, Sponge Bob is due to retire. They could take his place.

Short of a theme, a modular casino would be pretty cool. Of course, how cool would depend on which casino Lego modeled it after.

That sounds more realistic than an entire theme. I can't imagine a whole theme centered around gambling selling well. A modular could be pretty much anything and sell really well as long as it looks awesome.

The Terminator would be awesome. Love those movies. A bust of the Terminator. Like a UCS of it.

Some Ghibli movie stuff , I'd love to see Porco Rosso red plane  in Lego.

or Pacific Rim Mecha

put me down for t.v. game shows.  family feud or double dare

He was being sarcastic.

Just a little bit...

In all seriousness though, I would love to see an Assassin's Creed line, or something similar.  It would have an immense amount of potential.  The violence in AC is no different than that of LOTR, so that shouldn't be a problem.

I do think you will see them relaunch Jurassic Park in 2015 when the next one comes out.
