Limit of 1, eh? There is Lego cracking down on us resellers again.  It is a big set but you can still order 5 of the bloody Death Star! Rather odd on their part.

You can buy as many as you want on Amazon for $15 less, no tax, and free shipping.  Plus another 3 bucks off if you use your amzn card,

I would like to know the answer to this question also. Can you go back to LEGO Shop at Home and order multiple times when something has a limit. I have 5 HH I bought during double VIP last October,  will they let me buy more?

The consensus seems to be that this set and some others of the LOTR first wave should be done by the end of this year.

I haven't seen any left in B&M stores where I am - this should still be available online...for now.  The danger is waiting a bit too long and missing out (which I've done before).  Once S&**** lists the set as out of stock/retired, there will be a run on stock at major online retailers very quickly.

This set is going to be like last Years Harry Potter 4842 and the POTC Black Pearl and Queen Revenge, alot of places had them up to a few weeks befor Christmas and alot of people were hoping for big discounts well there were a few, but how many of you guys wish you would of bought more even at retail, and the price shot up pretty fast starting in january, I got 20 Queen Revenge in December from yoyo.com for $108 each shipped. So don't make the same mistake on the Helm's Deep, get them while you can , but not from Lego. and there are still guys hunting down those $10-20 sales while they should be buying Helm's Deep, Tower Bridges, VC,  Haunted Houses. Anybody that does not have any Haunted Houses yet is really making a big mistake, you should be buying at least 1 or so each month if you have the extra money.

It's actually a rather cool set.  I enjoyed building it.

i don't know how long it'll take to rise 200%, but if I can sell mine next January for 60% ROI i'll be a happy camper.

I thought HH and the other LOTR sets due to go EOL were going about now, sooner rather than later.

I would say the limit of one is to stop people like us buying all their stock and letting the " kids " get one before they all go

Have you had any news on 10223? I heard they were retiring the entire Kingdoms theme now the new Castle sets are due soon.

Its already getting to the point that I'm seeing very few Helm's Deep's around here. I think that when they sell, retailers are not ordering more at this point, and some Targets and Walmarts are already done selling them.

Could this set go the way of the 7965 Falcon? Stores stop stocking it, but Lego keeps it on its website, and we're all waiting 6+ months for eol?

As of a few weeks ago there were 15 Helm's Deep at my Toys R Us. Now there are like 3 left.  The last BOGO people hit them pretty hard.  I ended up getting 3.

My town doesn't sell Lego for crap - Meaning they sit in the store until I buy them all out on clearance, Of my 5 Walmarts, 5 targets, 1 Kmart, 1 Toys R Us there are = 0 Helm's deep.

 

Wish they were around for my inevitable clearance run in target. Just have to settle for all the other LOTR and Hobbit sets
