I'll bite at 50% off. This thing is going to sell at or under rrp for years. At this rate it could still be in stock everywhere this time next year. Every major retailer still has it.

Since my wife recently visited Paris with her mom and brother, I picked up 2 Architecture Eiffel Tower sets for $30 each.  Used amazon.

The kids think she “brought it home” from Paris.

BTW... I was winding you all up when I said that I was going to buy a 60th promo on eBay and then return it "for the hell of it" when it got cheaper! I see that I rattled a few cages, especially those across the pond. However, I will get one for my personal collection, but I can wait until they hit the bottom on eBay. I've got to focus on bigger stuff right now so I'm not buying unless there's a crazy deal with an instant easy flip. I now have my fill of Saturn V, but I will bite if heavily discounted.

Please... UK buyers, continue to update me on box condition from LEGO as I'm hoping that it's improved.

I bought the technic rally car for the promo

I think these will be on sale for £10 in a month from SAH. I will probably end up getting one next sat since it’s AFOL day since I want to pick up a Falcon

I loaded up on a few before Christmas when they had Double VIP points, the VIP Lego Shop set, and the chicksuit fig set.

Certainly no apparent way of doing this on the uk SaH site, can’t even get to a product page for it on there.

No chance of me doing it. I'm planning on buying a couple from eBay when they bottom out, or from a store direct when they start selling them like they did the nutcracker. Then wait until double vip or discount for ship in a bottle - as I have 21309s aside. Thanks for the earlier info that there are stacks of the promo piled up in stores [emoji106]

Just have one Saturn V for personal build so far and was thinking about using this promo as a means to start building up my inventory but will probably wait for double Vip instead. Not looking for a huge Saturn V inventory a la Tabbyboy since despite this being a great set and great value, this could be one of the most hoarded sets ever. Last thing I want is 20 of these sitting in the loft tying up capital and taking up space. Hence, will only tip my toes in for 2 or 3. This plenty of time to get these before retirment.

Yep only three for me as well, I think you are spot on being cautious with it. No discounts to get excited about and far more people will have far more of these than me.

Saturn V not available direct from Amazon here in U.K. Available through sellers only. Ok the high street, only recently has it been more widely available , hence, no discounts to write home about yet(or at least I am aware)

Saturn V may not be the most hoarded set ever in the UK. The main reasons being SaH limit 2 (also unable to reorder 2) and John Lewis with limit 5 even though you can reorder, but a lot won't want to risk losing any John Lewis privileges and are perhaps waiting for discounts that may never come. It's also a large box and a lot of us simply don't have the space for a lot of them. Anyhow, LEGO investing was talked about more during 2014/2015 in my circles more than it is now. That was when the hideous Delorean was everywhere, often on 3-for-2 with no limit and heavily hoarded (I saw guys taking huge bags full from Argos - I was one of them!) - just look at it now. I'm still bullish about Saturn V and I probably always will be. I do have a fair few, but they are stored away from home and don't take up valuable space. I believe that demand will always be there for a masterpiece like this and I think the only threat would be a better remake for a similar price. Even if I have to wait 10 years, there'll also be a lot more NASA fans of a certain age by then too.

We've had a few false alarms about Saturn V retiring and I think it'll disappear quicker than the Town Hall when it does go. Of course, the crappy LEGO website will have it "TOOS > Retired > C2C > Available > TOOS > Retired > C2C > Available > Sold Out" before it's finally done. My 2p, take it as you wish ;-)

75192 is the only set excluded from employee discount scheme and afol day.
probably AFOL program discount will be killed next year as they already killed the support program for those who participate in exhibitions promoting Lego MOC's, ideas etc, you name it.

Still plenty today at Leicester Sq. True about Lego scaling back their support for LUG this year. In terms of discount the recently newly issued AFOL sticker does say 2018-2019, so that would imply it will continue. Depends what the new guy does, once a full review has been done.

I dropped into the store today; surprisingly  busy for a Sunday morning. Mostly middle-aged men buying the Downtown Diner modular to get the promo set. I opted for a Detective’s Office. Additional bonus 500 VIP points for the damaged box. Sweet.

Side note: I’m really surprised how  large the 60th promo set is. Almost as thick as a modular!
