Bought a lonely 75135 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter and 2x Series 17 minifigs (Corn Cob and Rocket Boy) w/ 15% off Friend's and Family and discount gift card.

Went for a Series 17 Box from Minifigures Plus. I've been meaning to do this for awhile. This is the first series that I'm very much enamored with in awhile.

I guess they had all those sets because their prices were straight from Cloud cuckoo land. For example 10181 Eiffel Tower was € 4,990, 10187 VW Beetle was € 2,990 and 76042 Helicarrier was € 550. Insane! 

So I had to settle for these little souvenirs:

(4) 75134 Galactic Empire Battle Packs @ 60 % discount (relatively scarce in Germany)

(12) 41171 Emily Jones & the Baby Wind Dragon and (6) 41178 The Dragon Sanctuary @ 20 % discount (very scarce in Germany)

I saw a place I my the same lines 2 minutes from my hotel in Rome last year. Amazing to see but no bargains.

Stopped at Walmart to get my wife an anniversary card...and completed my Wave 2 Elves collection for $30.

They are retired and gone, but there was a WM-wide $30 price on them before Christmas.  I don't know where she was hiding, but I've been to that store a handful of times since  and she was not in the Lego aisle.  Either a return or something hiding in the back.  I wouldn't count on finding one.

All those are at least $5 higher today for me at kmart.com

See my screenshots. I used a 15% off 1 toy coupon to get the 21124 down from $49.40, a $10 off $50 (21124+21119) to get 21119 down from $16.46, and a $5 off $20 to get 41118 down from $23.99. That's what KMart is all about.

Decided it was time to start grabbing Spiderman Bridges.  PMed two at TRU and used discounted GCs/partial pay to get them for $55 each and $10 in rewards back.

So I get TRU PM's with Amazon... but they are usually okay with you putting like a $1 on TRU cc and the rest on GC? The employees don't mind?

 

... actually not that I can see any reason why they would care haha, but more so just wanted to confirm that's the most efficient process

Should have grabbed a small set to take the total to £50 & it would have took £10 off each bill (if u scanned ur TRU card).  Too late now

£40 got u the £10 TRU gift card.
£50 spend if swiping TRU gold card gets £10 off total + the £10 TRU gift card.
